There are multiple benefits of doing this - including dedicated children/family-friendly events and activities, as well as special peak date deals. These dates can get popular though, so best to get booked in quickly before accommodation sells out!
French School holidays use a different system to the UK, with different zones having their holidays at different times of the year. The dates listed below are correct at the time of writing.
UK School holidays 2022/2023
Christmas Holidays
Monday 19th December 2022 - Monday 2nd January 2023
February Half-Term Holidays
Monday 13th February 2023 - Friday 17th February 2023
Easter Holidays
Friday 31st March 2023 - Friday 14th April 2023

Peak Dates for the 2022/23 ski season
Christmas Skiing
The main Christmas week skiing starts Saturday 24th December 2022 until Saturday 31st December 2022
New Year Skiing
The main New Year week skiing starts Saturday 31st December 2022 and Saturday 7th January 2023.
February Half-Term Skiing
February Half-Term commences Saturday 11th February 2023 and Saturday 18th February 2023 - as this is also when some French holiday weeks are, these dates will get booked up very quickly!
Easter Skiing
Easter skiing will mainly fall between Saturday 1st April 2023 and Saturday 15th April 2023 - although some private schools are from the week commencing 25th March 2023!
