My first ski holiday in La Plagne: a teenager's perspective

La Plagne did not disappoint. It truly is a resort for everyone, cruising blue runs span across the mountain, opening up the majority of the ski area for all abilities. For those who want to test themselves, there are some thigh burning nature runs. After a couple of tumbles, there is nothing better than relaxing in a deckchair at the top of the Grand Rochette.
From Plagne Soleil, you are can easily ski over to Plagne Bellecote/Belle Plagne side of the resort or head in the other direction to Plagne Centre and Aime2000, you really feel like you have a choice of ways to explore. Plagne Soleil may be small but it has everything you need - a couple of sports shops, a choice of cafes for mid-morning coffee, a few bars and restaurants, a mini-market and deli (as well as the ESF ski school and lift pass office).
My daughter loved the easy blue runs down from Plagne Villages to Plagne Centre, especially on the day it was snowing which made it even more magical.
We stayed at White Pearl, Plagne Soleil. Fabulous accommodation, spacious apartment, extra bath/shower than expected! Great spa/pool and bar in reception.
This accommodation was excellent for an intermediate / advanced skiing family.
Accommodation was amazing, beautiful, large, clean apartments with great views. Swimming pool and spa area fantastic!! Skiing area was huge and wonderful for all. Loved this holiday.

The mini-supermarket in Plagne Centre is slightly bigger so for more choice head there.
Are the villages well connected to the rest of La Plagne?
Yes. Their central location allows easy ski access to Plagne Centre, Belle Plagne, Plagne Bellecôte, Aime La Plagne and down to Les Coches to catch the Vanoise Express across to the Les Arcs side of Paradiski.
Pedestrian lifts from Plagne Villages to Plagne Centre, and from Plagne Centre up to Aime 2000 mean you can access these other villages without skis too.
