Accommodation in Châtel includes a wide range of apartments, chalet-style residences and large private chalets. Options include modern apartments at Les Chalets d'Angele, ski-in/ski-out residences such as Les Fermes de Chatel, and spacious chalets including Chalet Le Refuge and Chalet Braconnier, offering flexibility for couples, families and groups.
For true ski-in/ski-out convenience, Les Fermes de Chatel stands out, located directly on the slopes next to the Super-Châtel gondola. Chalet Braconnier also offers excellent access, just 50m from the Linga chairlift, making it a strong option for maximising time on the mountain.
If you’d like to stay close to shops, restaurants and ski school meeting points, Les Fermes de Chatel is ideally positioned in the centre. It’s just a short walk from everything, making it one of the most convenient bases in the resort.
For wellness facilities, Les Chalets d'Angele offers a strong choice, with an indoor heated pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Les Fermes de Chatel also includes a pool and spa area, giving you space to unwind after skiing.
Families are well catered for across the resort, with apartments such as Les Chalets d'Angele offering spacious layouts, family-friendly facilities and easy access to transport. The resort’s Famille Plus status also ensures facilities are well suited to children.
For groups, larger chalets such as Chalet Le Refuge, Chalet au Bon Vieux Temps and Chalet Braconnier are ideal, all sleeping up to 15 people. They offer multiple bedrooms, generous living spaces and features like hot tubs and games rooms, making them perfect for sociable stays.
If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, properties in the Linga or Essert areas such as Chalet au Bon Vieux Temps or Chalet Le Refuge offer more peaceful surroundings while still being well connected to the slopes via lifts or shuttle buses.
Chalets in elevated or open areas, such as Chalet au Bon Vieux Temps, offer excellent mountain views and a more scenic setting. Many apartments and chalets also feature balconies overlooking the valley or slopes.
Most accommodation includes fully equipped kitchens, ski lockers, WiFi and balconies. Many higher-quality properties also offer spa facilities, fireplaces, heated boot racks and additional services such as bread delivery, helping make your stay both comfortable and convenient.
Châtel is well connected by a free shuttle bus network, linking key lift areas and accommodation zones. This makes it easy to stay slightly outside the centre while still accessing slopes and facilities quickly.
Châtel stands out for its authentic village feel, Swiss-influenced character and combination of charm and access to a large ski area, offering a more traditional experience compared to modern purpose-built resorts.
