Peak Retreats Essentiels
Our aim is to offer the best possible range of superb 4 and 5-star accommodation throughout our programme; however, there are some resorts that we really like and our clients love, but which don’t currently have any accommodation rated 4-star and above. These resorts are nonetheless still an excellent choice, especially for the more budget conscious or for those trying to fit in a second ski trip in the season (for which the budget is often lower than for their main trip).
With these criteria in mind, we have made a selection of some great value accommodation that would be worth considering if you're looking to make your budget go further.
Our Essentiels range of accommodation is materially quite different from our main portfolio, offering a basic standard of comfort and smaller living and sleeping space; they are less well appointed and more sparsely furnished than our normal grade apartments and have, for example, a minimal range of kitchen utensils and cooking facilities.
Depending on the property, it may be that guests are normally required to make their own beds; bed linen, towels and end-of-stay cleaning are generally not included, but sometimes available as a payable extra. Wifi is generally not included and may not even be available at all in the apartments, but there may be a basic signal in the reception area.
Staffing at reception may be at limited times. Ski lockers are normally available, although without boot racks. Bread/pastries delivery and other services are not usually offered.
Leisure areas, when available, offer generally a quite basic range of facilities. However, these budget-friendly properties are a great choice if you're looking to spend a little less and still experience a brilliant ski area.
