Some resorts feature diverse opening and closing dates, such Val Thorens or Tignes that often kick off the season as early as November and stay open until May, offering an extended window for snow enthusiasts.
Beyond Opening and Closing Dates: What to Expect Early and Late Season
Opening and closing dates are just the beginning. Early and late season can bring slightly different experiences. Some high-altitude areas offer glacier skiing even before the official opening, while lower resorts might have limited terrain available until the snowpack thickens.
