My first ski holiday in La Plagne: a teenager's perspective

Peaceful chalet village at the heart of Paradiski
Plagne 1800 combines the charm of a traditional Alpine village with quick access to one of the world's largest ski areas. Set among the trees at 1,800m, this former mining village offers a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere than some of La Plagne's busier centres while remaining well connected to the wider Paradiski ski area.

La Plagne did not disappoint. It truly is a resort for everyone, cruising blue runs span across the mountain, opening up the majority of the ski area for all abilities. For those who want to test themselves, there are some thigh burning nature runs. After a couple of tumbles, there is nothing better than relaxing in a deckchair at the top of the Grand Rochette.
Plagne 1800 is one of the more quaint and quiet resorts in La Plagne. It has mostly chalet style buildings and is sheltered behind the surrounding mountains. I thought it made a great base for exploring the wider La Plagne ski area.
The accommodations were excellent - biggest lounge/diner we’ve ever had. Space for everyone, would recommend to larger families or 2 families with a child each.
La Plagne for us is the place to ski - there is always a different place to ski, coffee stop to take and lots of lunch stops all over the mountain if you know your way around.
It’s our favourite resort and we’ve skied most of France, this accommodation is the easiest access to lifts taking us where we want to go quickly. It’s a dream and we’ve already booked for next year.
