The very popular Hôtel la Marmotte became one the resort’s first hotels in 1947, and has now belonged to the Mirigay family for 4 generations. The Hotel la Marmotte exudes the tranquil atmosphere of a traditional alpine chalet with its extensive use of wood throughout the public areas (entrance, reception, bar, lounges and restaurant), combining authentic Savoyard style with the very best of modern comforts and convenience.
You will find here all the ingredients for a highly enjoyable and relaxing stay: excellent cuisine, very comfortable guest rooms, unrivalled facilities, including a lounge and bar, a quite remarkable 800 m2 leisure area (the Séréni-cîmes Spa) with hammam, sauna, footbath, sensory shower experience (over 16’s only), swimming pool (17m x 7m) and Jacuzzi (all included) and massages (10 cabins and beauty treatment (supplement, payable locally).
Locally, the restaurant enjoys a well deserved reputation for the high quality of its cuisine based on fresh ingredients. We therefore offer the Hôtel la Marmotte on a half board basis (in 3 restaurants from December, 16th to the end of March and in 1 restaurant at the end of the season), including a substantial buffet breakfast and 4 course dinner selected from the à la carte menu. Guests now enjoy a choice of 3 restaurants: the Piste Noire, serving traditional and refined cuisine. There is a further choice with the mountain brasserie/grill the Biskatcha and a Savoyard specialities restaurant: The Pivotte.
There is a separate children’s sitting if required, supervised with games and activities during French school holidays; there is also a children’s games room with table tennis and table football.
The 48 rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated in light coloured wood, Savoyard style: their Superior category rooms are twins or doubles and can accommodate a child (under 13 years) in a third bed. On the top floor, Family rooms - some of which are duplex rooms - can welcome up to 5 persons.
