My favourite mountain food is: Tomme Cheese, which is produced in the Alps. It melts easily so it’s great with meals like raclette. My favourite way of having it is as an aperitif with charcuterie, crackers, grapes and a glass of wine!

One piece of ski gear I can’t live without is: A good base layer – thermals and a warm pair of socks are key to keeping warm whilst out on the slopes!

Most challenging slope I’ve skied: The Marmottes piste in Courchevel. I was following colleagues and didn't find out it was a red until afterwards. Having not skied a red before, I considered that a conquest!

My top tip for people booking their first ski holiday is: Choose a resort with a variety of runs, so you can progress throughout the week. Also look at activities beyond skiing – I’ve loved trying snowshoeing, zipwires and watching ice hockey!

Funniest ski memory: On a team trip to Les Arcs, I clipped into my skis in deep snow to get on the chairlift, but halfway up I noticed I was missing a ski! I hopped off at the end and waited for another skier to bring it up.

Favourite resort: Les Arcs due to the fantastically linked and varied ski area. There is something for everyone and despite its popularity never feels too crowded. I may be a little biased as I did two ski seasons there in the early 2000’s!
