Tignes 1800

Accommodation in Tignes 1800 is primarily high-quality self-catered apartments, ranging from boutique residences to larger family-friendly developments. Properties such as Le Lodge des Neiges, Kalinda, Altaviva and Freddie offer a variety of layouts, making the resort ideal for couples, families and groups seeking flexible and comfortable ski accommodation. 

Many residences offer ski-in/ski-out or near ski-in/ski-out access. Le Lodge des Neiges, Kalinda and Freddie all provide excellent slope access, allowing you to ski directly to lifts or back to your accommodation, depending on snow conditions. 

Most accommodation is located near the Boisses gondola. Le Lodge des Neiges and Kalinda are positioned right at its base, while Altaviva and Freddie are also within very easy reach, ensuring quick access to the wider ski area.

Several residences include excellent wellness facilities. Le Lodge des Neiges has a large 1000m² spa area with indoor pool and views of the valley, Kalinda offers a wellness area including a good-sized pool, baby pool with a small slide for toddlers, saunas, steam rooms and a hot tub, and Altaviva also features an indoor pool and relaxation area.

Family-friendly options include Kalinda and Altaviva, with spacious apartments, pools and nearby amenities. Altaviva also offers organised kids clubs, making it particularly appealing for families travelling during school holidays. 

For groups, larger apartments at Le Lodge des Neiges and Kalinda sleep up to 10 guests. Kalinda has lots of apartments so is suitable for groups of families looking to enjoy some privacy by each having their own apartment but who want to be in the same residence to enjoy facilities such as the pool and lounge area together.

Freddie is one of Tignes 1800's newest offerings. Its modern apartments have smart TVs, sound bars and Nespresso machines, and attention has been paid to the decor to ensure it's both practical and stylish. These properties provide contemporary comfort and are ideal for those seeking newer accommodation in a quieter setting. 

However, as Tignes 1800 is a relatively new development overall then all our residences here are more modern in style and even the ones that were built first have aged well. 

Kalinda was one of the first properties built in Tignes 1800 and the village has developed around it. Tignes 1800 isn't big so everything feels pretty central. Kalinda benefits from having services within the main building, for example a well-regarded mini-market with deli counter and a ski hire shop.

Le Lodge des Neiges and Kalinda provide excellent convenience with ski access, nearby facilities and well-equipped apartments. Their location next to the gondola makes them particularly practical for daily skiing. 

It offers a quieter alternative with modern accommodation and excellent lift access. It combines convenience and value with a more relaxed village atmosphere.

It isn't as well catered for in terms of restaurants as other villages, so suits those who like self-catering to enjoy relaxed meals in their apartments. You can head down to the old village of Tignes les Brevières too, to find small local restaurants and bars. 

Lift passes provide access to the full Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area, offering extensive terrain for all levels. These can be pre-booked with us, helping you avoid queues and start skiing immediately on arrival.

We recommend ESF Tignes, which operates in Tignes 1800 with a local meeting point. Group and private lessons can be pre-booked through us, and we are happy to guide you to the level that will best suit those in your party. We strongly recommend booking early, particularly during peak weeks.

Altaviva has kids clubs within the residence so is a good choice for families with younger children particularly. These may be delivered in French but the team do usually speak some English too, and little children can enjoy the activities and playing together even if they don't speak the same language. 

It is important to book ski essentials early, especially during peak periods. The village’s smaller size means popular services such as morning ski lessons can fill quickly, so planning ahead ensures the best availability and a smoother holiday experience.
