We headed back up the mountain to complete the two-hour themed ski loop for the umpteenth time. Along the route of multiple chairlifts, green and blue runs, there is a series of tunnels, arches and obstacles to maneuver through. It's the perfect run for those finding their ski legs, or as in our case, the ideal run for an increasingly confident young skier.
I loved this purpose built resort, it feels so down to earth and unpretentious. We got chatting to our neighbouring tables in restaurants, everyone seemed genuinely friendly and relaxed. Itisn’t a resort where you need to be seen wearing just the right ski gear, its down-to-earth vibe is the essence of its charm. Whilst there are some lovely family oriented runs (like the squirrel trail that takes you all across the domain), you can find plenty of areas where the ski area feels quite challenging. The reds are more like deep reds! There is a well known secure off-piste zone that would keep experts happy. The resort centre feels like it has been transported from a resort on the Languedoc coast in terms of architectural style. For me it was the relaxed friendly vibe that made me feel so at home in Les 7 Laux.
