Montgenèvre combines high-altitude skiing with the opportunity to ski across the border linking France and Italy within the vast Milky Way ski area. With excellent snow conditions and up to 300 days of sunshine a year, it offers reliable and enjoyable skiing throughout the season.
Accommodation includes ski-in/ski-out residences and boutique apartments such as Le Napoleon and Chalet des Dolines, as well as central hotels and spacious self-catered chalets. These properties provide excellent locations, spa facilities and comfort, ideal for both families and couples.

Lift queues were small to non-existent, which, given that we travelled in half term, was fantastic! We wanted a quiet, family-friendly resort where everything is in easy walking distance and that is what Montgenèvre provides.
This small and charming village has such a unique atmosphere and is so close to Italy, you can really feel the Italian influence. I would especially recommend the Monty Express - a 1400m long toboggan on trails that runs through forest and tunnels, our family loved it!
We also enjoyed taking a stroll along Espace Nordique to the Italian village of Claviere. Do not miss a cute little café tucked away at the bottom of the red run for an Italian coffee or a hot chocolate.
The Napoleon in Montgenevre was a top location to stay, staff friendly, the apartment comfortable in size and the spa and gym excellent.
Montgenevre is an excellent destination for late season family skiing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Le Napoleon residence.  Handy having Spar supermarket under residence.
Can totally recommend this location and these apartments. We had an amazing time. Access to the slopes are a minute away just across the road and we had plenty of snow. Our youngest (18 months) was in a great crèche for the week and our eldest (6) did a mix of skiing with us and time in the apartments’ mini-club which she loved.
A successful week for a mixed age / ability group; higher link to La Claviere has wonderful red run into Italy, you would need to be confident on red runs to really enjoy it. Plenty of skiing for beginners in Montgenevre.Â
The Napoléon was a perfect place for our stay. Modern, a top-class build quality, with amenities to match. The spa was perfect after a day's skiing, and our apartment was spacious and extremely comfortable. Beds were perfect, showers were not cramped.Â
Skiing was excellent for us, plenty of width on well-maintained slopes. Driving down, once you're past the Chambéry bottle-neck, the Maurienne valley is quiet, and the Fréjus tunnel route works a treat. Can't wait for next time!
Chalet des Dolines really is good and Montgenèvre is a lovely resort for families.
The Napoleon did a super job - it always is top-rate. I'll be back again.
We absolutely loved our holiday. Montgenevre is perfect for young families. We also went on a snow mobile ride at night, which was excellent fun and worth the money.
Loved the bar/cafe below the Le Napoleon, it had its own micro brewery with very unusual glasses. Worth a visit.
This was the second time at the Napoleon and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be returning next year, probably for 2 weeks again!

Le Napoleon was really convenient for the shop, ski hire shop, ski schools and lifts. Pool and spa facilities really good and clean.
