How to book your holiday with Peak Retreats
Call us!
We love to talk about holidays to the French Alps. We have more than two decades experience putting together brilliant trips for clients. Peak Retreats is built on the knowledge and passion of an employee-owned team who genuinely loves the mountains.
So, give us a call, we can discuss resort choices, the right accommodation for your party, different travel options, including the train, spa treatments, ski lessons, activities and more. We’ll guide you through everything you might need to think about.
Our team can take your booking over the phone, and you can call us any time (or use our online chat or email us) if you need any more help or information or have any questions – before, during or after your trip.
Book online
Use our discovery search to get tailored inspiration on resorts that we think will suit you.
Find resort information and details of our accommodation in each resort on our resort pages.
Want to dig deeper? Our resort guides have lots of information on each resort.
Browsed our resorts, accommodation and travel options and know what you want to book? We’re here if you need us but if you don’t need to talk to anyone, then you can book online.
Search availability
Once you have filled in your requirements in the search panel, you’ll see properties that meet your requirements along with the apartment types they feature. These will either be shown as Available Now or On Request.
To book those that are Available Now, follow the Look and Book and then Book buttons to book.
Where a property is shown as On Request, our team needs to speak to our supplier to double check availability. If that’s the case, follow the Look and Book and Book buttons and click on Request Availability. From here simply complete our Request a Quote form and we’ll get in touch with you either the same day, or the next working day if it’s after we’ve closed for the evening.
The booking process
Our prices include a travel option, which differs depending on the season. As part of your booking, you’ll be offered the chance to add travel with us. For winter holidays, a Eurotunnel LeShuttle crossing is offered as standard, for summer, we offer a DFDS Dover/Calais ferry crossing. Booking transport with us makes your booking a package giving you even more reassurance, with protection under the Package Travel Regulations.
We can of course offer ferries for winter too and Eurotunnel in summer, and we can book trains. If you want anything outside our standard offering, just say you don’t want travel and get in touch with our team on 023 9283 9310 or reservations@peakretreats.co.uk to discuss your requirements.
After you’ve entered your party details, you’ll then proceed to our secure payment system.
Once your booking is confirmed, your confirmation invoice will be sent to you within 48 hours (but usually the same day, for bookings made Monday-Friday).
Deposits and balance payments
Whether you book online or over the phone, we’ll take a deposit for your holiday unless you book within 10 weeks of travel (in which case full payment will be needed). Our deposit is usually 25% of the total holiday cost. For bookings made before 30 June, we offer an initial low deposit of £200. The difference between that and our usual 25% deposit being due on 1 July.
If it’s too early to book your chosen property, you can also make an advance registration for a refundable £100 deposit. This ensures that you are on our list so that we can get in touch as soon as bookings open, ensuring you get first refusal. Once we confirm prices, our usual deposit would then be due.
Balance payments are due 10 weeks before departure. These can either be made online, in our Client Area, over the phone, or through online banking.
Payments online, either as part of the booking process or in our Client Area, are all taken using our secure payment system. You can pay with credit or debit cards, we just don’t take American Express unfortunately. Commercial or corporate card payments will incur a 2.05% charge in respect of all transactions.
For bookings taken over the phone, and if you’d rather call us to pay your balance, we can take card payments using our secure payment system. You can also pay via online banking. Our team will be able to give you our bank details and these will also be shown on our confirmation invoice (do call us up to double check these if you receive these by email; this helps prevent fraud).
We will issue payment reminders but please note that any holiday which is not paid for by the balance due date may be cancelled without further notice and cancellation charges applied.
Please note that when booking a ferry crossing, it is a legal requirement for the ferry operators to have details of all passengers travelling - the surname, forename, gender and ages of children under 17.
Confirmation invoices
Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation invoice. It will have all the details of your trip; a breakdown of the cost of your holiday and additional elements that have been booked. it will also show the date by which the balance is payable (this is 10 weeks before departure).
By making a booking, you confirm your acceptance of our booking conditions ADD LINK, on behalf of all your party. A contract will exist only when we issue our confirmation invoice. We strongly suggest that you do not make independent arrangements, such as flights, linked to the elements you have booked with us, until then.
It is important that you check all your details shown on the confirmation invoice carefully to ensure they are correct, as this forms the basis of the contract. Any discrepancies should be brought to our attention within 7 days of issue otherwise the details shown on the confirmation invoice will be presumed to be correct.
Your travel documents
Your travel documents will be sent to you around two weeks before you go, either by email or in the post if you have booked physical lift passes with us.
These will include your accommodation booking details and an information sheet with reception opening times, address, directions etc.; ferry or Eurotunnel LeShuttle travel references, or train tickets; resort information and, where applicable, documents for any activities, spa treatments or ski essentials (such as equipment hire, lift passes or ski school) that you have booked with us.
