The Avancher Lodge is a small residence of just 7 apartments, adjoining the Hotel Avancher (***superior) and enjoying the same ideal location in a quiet part of the resort on the Avenue du Prariond, yet just 450m from the resort centre, lifts and ski school meeting point, and 350m from the slopes; the shuttle bus stop is 50m away.

The Avancher Lodge and Hotel Avancher have quickly established a loyal following and a reputation for being one of the best addresses in the resort. The reconstruction in 2018 has been very successful, with extensive use of traditional materials of local stone and wood, but with some interesting contemporary additions. The atmosphere is one of relaxed well-being. In particular, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Arrivals at the Avancher Lodge are on Sundays. Highly recommended equally for friends and families.

The very highly rated restaurant (closed on Monday evenings) serves an excellent 3-course half board dinner (not included for residence guests), as well as local specialities (their legendary raclette is not to be missed! The raclette is delicately browned under the central oven of the restaurant and is served on a plate, as tradition demands. It is the only place in Val d’Isère where you can enjoy it in this way), and an extensive hot and cold buffet breakfast (included for residence guests),
