Multi-Family Ski Holidays

More and more families are discovering the benefits of travelling together, booking separate apartments but sharing the mountain experience with like-minded families with similar age children. Whether you're seasoned skiers or first-timers, planning a trip with friends and family can make your holiday even more special.

Always someone to ski with

Why a multi-family ski holiday?

There’s always someone to ski with – with a larger group there’s always someone who wants to be doing the same as you. It’s easy to split off into smaller groups so that everyone gets to ski at their own pace. Young children in your family? Adults can take it in turns to entertain young children while others enjoy the slopes.

Evenings to remember – whether it’s games nights, movie marathons or just catching up over a glass of wine or meal, the communal spaces in our self-catered properties make it easy to relax and reconnect after a day on the slopes.

Shared adventures – from fondue in a yurt to snow yoga or an ice hockey match. These shared experiences create lasting memories and stronger friendships.

Confidence in ski school – kids thrive when they’re with friends. A ski holiday with a larger group of families will often mean there is someone they know in the same ski school group, helping them feel more confident and learn faster.

Built-in childcare support â€“ as well as parents taking turns to watch younger children during the day, there is also the opportunity to take turns for evening babysitting duties. Date night anyone?

More variety in group dynamics – kids get to play with different friends, adults can mix and match ski partners, and there's always someone up for a coffee break or après-ski. It keeps things fresh and fun.

Celebrating together – whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, or just the joy of being on holiday, celebrating with a group makes it more special. You can even plan a themed dinner or group activity to mark the occasion.

Built-in photographers – more people means more chances to capture those candid moments,  someone’s always ready with a camera or phone to snap the perfect shot.

Learning from each other – experienced skiers can help beginners with tips and encouragement, and kids often learn faster when they’re watching and copying their peers.

Stronger bonds – spending quality time together in a beautiful setting helps deepen friendships and family connections. It’s the kind of trip people talk about for years.

Why book a multi-family ski holiday with Peak Retreats?

Peak Retreats has lots of experience of organising multi-family ski holidays in the French Alps. In fact, many of our team enjoy travelling with other families on our own ski holidays so we know what works and what doesn't.

Here's what you can expect from booking a multi-family ski holiday with Peak Retreats:

  • Tailored resort recommendations – our UK-based ski experts will help you choose a resort that suits everyone, from toddlers to teens, beginners to seasoned skiers and even non-skiers
  • Accommodation that works for groups of families – we’ll suggest properties with the right mix of privacy and communal spaces, so each family has their own apartment but can still come together easily
  • Linked bookings, individual flexibility – each family can book separately, but we’ll link your bookings behind the scenes so everything runs smoothly
  • Private group experiences – want to dine in a yurt, book a private guide or arrange a private snowshoe walk? We can organise unique private experiences to make your trip extra special
  • Coordinated ski school bookings – we’ll help ensure children are placed in the same ski school groups where possible
  • Support with dining arrangements – from recommending restaurants that can accommodate larger groups to suggesting self-catering options with spacious dining areas
  • Advice on off-slope activities for all ages – we can recommend resorts with plenty to do beyond skiing, perfect for mixed-age groups or if you have non-skiers in your group
