If you've got children, then you'll know how popular February half-term is with skiing families, this is also when the French are on holiday. Whilst this makes for a busy few weeks, the benefits include dedicated child/family-friendly events and activities, The weeks of the Christmas and Easter school breaks often have some special peak date deals so keep an eye on these, which we'll update regularly in the run up to the season. All school holiday dates tend to be popular so it's best to get booked in quickly before accommodation sells out!
French school holidays use a different system to the UK, with different 'zones' of France having their holidays at slightly different times of the year. The dates listed below are correct at the time of writing.

Christmas and New Year Holidays
Christmas - Saturday 23rd December - Saturday 30th December 2023
New Year - Saturday 30th December - Saturday 6th January 2024
February Half-Term Holidays (One Week)
Saturday 10th February - Saturday 17th February 2024
OR
Saturday 17th February - Saturday 24th February 2024
Easter Holidays (Two Weeks)
Saturday 30th March - Saturday 13th April 2024
OR
Saturday 6th April - Saturday 20th April 2024
(Some private and state schools may also be on holiday w/c 23rd March 2024)

Christmas Holidays
All 3 zones: Sunday 24th December 2023 - Sunday 7th January 2024
February Half-Term Holidays
Zone C: Sunday 11th February - Sunday 25th February 2024
Zone A: Sunday 18th February - Sunday 3rd March 2024
Zone B: Sunday 25th February - Sunday 10th March 2024
Easter Holidays
Zone C: Sunday 7th April - Sunday 21st April 2024
Zone A: Sunday 14th April - Sunday 28th April 2024
Zone B: Sunday 21st April - Sunday 5th May 2024
PLEASE NOTE: School holidays do vary depending on education authority, so it's best to check with your children's school before booking anything!

A: Caen, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble, Lyon, Montpellier, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Rennes, Toulouse
B: Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Besançon, Dijon, Lille, Limoges, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Poitiers, Reims, Rouen, Strasbourg
C: Bordeaux, Créteil, Paris, Versailles

Peak Dates for the 2023/24 ski season
Christmas Skiing
The main Christmas week skiing starts Saturday 23rd December 2023 until Saturday 30th December 2023.
New Year Skiing
The main New Year week skiing starts Saturday 30th December 2023 and ends Saturday 6th January 2024.
February Half-Term Skiing
February Half-Term commences either Saturday 10th February 2024 and Saturday 17th February 2024 - as this is also when some French holiday weeks are too, these dates will get booked up very quickly!
Easter Skiing
Easter skiing will mainly fall between Saturday 30th March 2024 and Saturday 20th April 2024 - although some private and state schools are from the week commencing 25th March 2024!
