St Nicolas de Veroce
The small resort of St Nicolas de Veroce in the Haute Savoie sits at 1180m, facing the majestic Mont Blanc. It forms part of the large Evasion Mont Blanc and has St Gervais and Megeve as it’s ski area neighbours (they are lift and run connected). You will find traditional old farm buildings and houses.
You can easily take a day trip to St Gervais if you have a car; it’s about 10km away.
ST NICOLAS DE VEROCE SKI AREA
With only one lift pass, you can ski 6 other resorts: Saint Gervais, Megève (being the closest), Les Contamines-Montjoie (you will need a car to drive to as not lift-linked), Hauteluce, Combloux and La Giettaz (not lift-linked – you will need to cross Megeve resort centre on foot or bus to take another lift to the other side of the valley). There are 445km of pistes in total so it’s a pretty vast area.

ST NICOLAS DE VEROCE BEGINNERS
There is a small beginners area to learn on – 1 short green run and 1 short blue run. From there you can try a number of longer blues within the St Nicolas de Veroce ski area.
ST NICOLAS DE VEROCE INTERMEDIATES
Low intermediate skiers have half a dozen blue runs to get to grips on. More advanced intermediates can try the various red runs above the resort. There is also a connection via blue or red run to the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area – there is fairly easy access to the resorts of St Gervais and Megeve so it’s well connected and they aren’t too far away either.
ST NICOLAS DE VEROCE EXPERTS
For the more advanced or expert skier, there are various red runs above St Nicolas de Veroce. Travelling into St Gervais you will equally find a plethora of red runs to try your skis or board at. There are also a few blacks as well, for the more daring, higher up.

St Nicolas de Veroce ski school
The ESF ski school arranges group and private lessons for both adults and children.
Children:
Baby from 3 to 4 years old:
ESF St Nicolas offer a specific and precise programme for toddlers that start from as young as three years old. Your child will progress at their own pace in a fun and friendly snow garden especially developed for the little ones and he will be rewarded by a Piou Piou medal.
Piou Piou from 4 years old:
A space specially arranged for them, carpets, tunnels, snow-yarns, children will be able to discover the pleasure of skiing. At the end of the week, they will valid a level rewarded with a medal, Blanchot, Sifflote, Garolou.
Ourson:
For youngsters who have already obtained Sifflote, Garolou or children aged 6 and over who have never skied. They will begin the week at the Jardin des Neiges and will make their first outings on the slopes at our beginner space.
Child Care and ESF Ski School:
The child care centre welcomes children from 2 to 6 years old. Parents who drop off for ski lessons can easily leave the younger children at the daycare centre, located under the ESF, at the start of the slopes. The daycare can also pick up your children after the ski lessons. For private lessons, the instructor picks up and takes the child back to the daycare.

Individual tuitions can only be purchased directly from the ski school. Peak Retreats cannot pre-book these. Other types of lessons are available.

St Nicolas de Veroce childcare (not pre-bookable)
The Garderie des Neiges Saint-Nicolas welcomes your children from 2 to 6 years, every day from 9:15 to 16:30 (until 17:00 from the February holidays). Accommodating a maximum of twenty children with a beautiful garden, facing the Mont Blanc chain. Located under the ESF at the start of the slopes, it's easy for parents to drop off the big ones for ski lessons, and leave the youngest ones in their care.
They are in perfect harmony with the ESF, which we take over, after ski lessons. The possibility also during the day of private lessons. The instructor picks up and brings back the child.

Museum of Sacred Art in Saint-Nicolas de Véroce
Discover the treasures of the Church of Saint-Nicolas de Véroce, its sculputres, paintings and the history of local peddlers.
Mont Blanc Baths (in St Gervais)
Reach for the stars with your feet in the water! The Mont-Blanc Baths are open to adults and children aged 13 upwards, Monday to Saturday from 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm. After a tiring day on the slopes, every occasion is a good occasion to indulge in an evening session at the Mont-Blanc Baths! Reservation compulsory.
Ski touring (St Gervais slopes)
Every Tuesday and Friday throughout the winter season, the “Orgères” slope is open to ski-touring skiers from 5pm to 9pm. The snow-grooming programme has been specifically adapted to allow this activity to take place (absence of piste bashers and cables on slope during this precise time schedule).
Sledging (St Gervais slopes)
At dusk, when skiers have deserted the slopes, families and groups of friends can experience a new sledging adventure from Mont d’Arbois to Le Bettex – a 4 km downhill run opposite Mont-Blanc on go-cart type sledges with foot pedal breaks.
Casino (in St Gervais Le Fayet)
This winter, why not head down to the casino in Le Fayet to try your luck on one of the 75 slot machines, at one of the two Black Jack tables or on the electronic Roulette?

A shuttle bus service in Saint-Nicolas now carries skiers to the foot of the new Chattrix chairlift. This new improved service promises:
- Fast and free access to the new Chattrix chairlift
- More space on the Chattrix car park
- Reduction of the environmental impact associated with the use of personal vehicles
- To further improve facilities for customers, connected ski lockers will be available at Chattrix this coming winter season
