How to book your ski holiday with Peak Retreats
Visit our website and look around. Once you have found something you like, or just for advice, please call our reservations team on 0844 576 0170 (Calls cost 7p per minute + any network charges) to discuss your precise requirements.
We should be able to confirm your reservation there and then but in some cases, we will need to call you back. You can also hold options for up to 24 hours on your chosen accommodation. The option will expire if we do not receive a deposit, as outlined below. There is often considerable demand for the same accommodation during the peak weeks so it is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment. We also recommend that you have alternative choices and if possible other dates too.
You can also check availability online on selected self catered residences, however we do not offer a full online booking service.
Confirming your booking
In order to confirm your booking, we will need a deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost (excluding insurance premiums for which full amount is due at time of booking). Please note that with our Preview Prices (generally available until May-June the preceding season) a lower initial deposit of £100 per apartment is often available to secure any pre-reservation (please note however that pre-reservations are not confirmed bookings). In this instance you will then require to make-up the difference between the £100 and our normal 25% deposit when our final prices come out. It is only at that stage that your pre-reservation will become a confirmed booking. The deposit can be paid by cheque, Visa, MasterCard or any debit card such as Maestro or Delta. In the case of credit cards, we make a 1.45% charge on all transactions in order to cover higher bank charges. You can now also pay using Pingit (available 24 Hours). You don’t have to bank with Barclays to use Pingit, it’s free to download and use, just search for Peak Retreats in the Business Directory and quote your booking number as a reference.
Please note that when booking ferry crossing, it is a legal requirement for the ferry operators to have details of all passengers travelling, their surname, forename, gender and ages of children under 17.
A confirmation/invoice will follow within 7 days of you booking. It details what has been reserved, the cost of your holiday, and the date by which the balance is payable. When you make your booking you must accept the terms of these booking conditions, on behalf of all your party and pay a deposit as detailed above. A contract will exist only when we issue our confirmation invoice. We strongly suggest that you do not make independent arrangements linked to the accommodation, such as flights until then. It is important that you check all your details shown on the confirmation invoice carefully to ensure they are correct as this forms the basis of the contract. Any discrepancies should be brought to our attention within 7 days of issue otherwise the details shown on the confirmation invoice will be presumed to be correct.
Paying the balance of your holiday
The balance of your holiday is due no later than 8 weeks prior to departure. If the booking is made less than 8 weeks prior to departure, the total cost of the holiday is payable immediately. The balance can be paid by cheque, Visa, MasterCard or any debit card such as Maestro or Delta. In the case of credit cards, we make a 1.85% charge on all transactions in order to cover higher bank charges. You can also pay by Barclays Pingit, as above. We do not issue payment reminders but please note that any holiday which is not paid for by the balance due date may be cancelled without further notice and cancellation charges applied.
Your travel documents
Your travel documents will be sent to you two weeks prior to your departure. These will include accommodation vouchers with directions, ferry or Eurotunnel travel reference, resort information and, where applicable, ski extra vouchers and directions (such as equipment hire, lift passes or ski school) and insurance documents.
