Famille PlusTo ensure families are 100% happy and to avoid any unwanted surprises, the French Tourism Ministry has created a newnational tourism label to approve the facilities and services available to families with children staying in French tourist destinations. The Famille Plus award aims to improve resort services and facilities, helping operators to identify those resorts which can ensure a high level of quality in their infrastructures and the holidays enjoyed by families and children.The seven commitments for the Famille Plus mountain resorts are:

Vaujany boasts an "aquatic centre" (with a swimming pool, slide etc), organises "fairytale" evenings and free admission to its three museums (heritage, Hydrelec, fauna). Combloux, a pretty quiet village resort, has long championed activities for children, with options that include horse-drawn sleigh treks, farm visits and tastings. La Clusaz, a charming village offering an extensive programme & wide range of activities specifically geared to children. Samoens is unique in being the only ski resort which is officially classified as a "town or village of art and history". It is the perfect family destination. Serre Chevalier, facilities for kids here include the inexpensive Piou-Piou clubs in Chantemerle and Villeneuve, the Jardin des Neiges in Le Monêtier, as well as specially designated and safe "beginners' areas" located throughout the ski area, both in the valley and in the surrounding mountains. ![]() ![]()
