December 2024

Courchevel 1850 December

Some of our team headed to visit our properties in Courchevel. The above photo was snapped in Courchevel 1850 under a stunning blanket of fresh snow.

Meribel Dec 24 View From Chalet Harmony 3

The team members who visited Meribel were in awe of the beautiful snow covered trees and attractive chalet buildings.

Megeve December

This stunning photo was snapped by one of the team – a bluebird day in Megeve.

January 2025

Sled Dogs In Auron Jan25 AW

A resort visit for some of the team to Auron in the Southern Alps and dog sledding was a must!

Villard De Lans Village Centre

Alison from the team visited the lovely French alpine village of Villard de Lans in Isère...

Alison ~ "Skiing quiet slopes in Villard de Lans in January was magical. With wide tree-lined runs and a different kind of scenery from the high-mountain landscapes I was used to seeing, Villard de Lans offers something different. There are beautiful views across the whole of the Vercors plateau and the village feels authentic, friendly and unpretentious. As well as a brilliant organic bakery, I had one of the best lunches in the unassuming Le Slalom bar/restaurant at the foot of the slopes."

February 2025

Combloux Abi And Family February 2025

Our ski expert Abi skied with her family in Combloux

March 2025

Val Cenis

Nicola from the team explored Val Cenis with her family and friends. It proved to be the perfect destination with gentle, family-friendly slopes as well as some more challenging runs for confident skiers.

Nicola ~ “A particular favourite with our little people was the scenic “Escargot” green run, one of the longest green runs in Europe. It was ideally for being able to ski together as a family with a 4 and 7-year-old”.

April 2025

Aerolive La Plagne Apr25

Alison from our team took a trip to La Plagne her with husband, two teenagers and several other families.

Alison ~ "Aerolive was an incredible experience to share with my teens. You really feel on top of the world. Once the initial nerves at being out in the open dissipate (Aerolive is a gondola with no sides that you are harnessed into!), you can lean out and feel like you're flying. It definitely gives you an unforgettable adrenaline rush."

There was a huge dump of snow across much of the Alps in April. Lyndsey (pictured) and Yulia were in La Plagne and had great fun playing in the snow with their children.

Lyndsey ~ "La Plagne had a great mix of slopes for all abilities. My daughter skied for the first time on the ‘big slopes’. Usually gracing her presence on the small slopes next to the magic carpets, this time she took her first chairlift (which she loved) and discovered the Colorado fun park and blue runs coming down into Plagne Centre. She also loved the easy blue runs down from Plagne Village to Plagne Centre, especially as that day it was snowing which made it even more magical."
Léna Darmon Handi Ski Championship

As a team we were delighted to celebrate the success of one of our Director’s nieces, 15-year-old Léna Darmon, a rising para-athlete racing in the women’s sitting category (all ages). Léna came away with a Gold in Giant Slalom, Gold in Super-G, and Silver in Slalom - a massive achievement, and a proud moment for the whole family, and all of us here at Peak Retreats!

Team trip to Tignes

Our team headed to Tignes for our end of season trip at the end of April. As well as quality checking accommodation, we explored the ski area, relaxed in the wellness area in our accommodation, ate (a lot of) food and even danced on the tables at La Folie Douce.

Peak Retreats Team Members By The Tignes Signs

Yulia ~ “Tignes has long been a big favourite of mine, it’s impossible not to be in awe of its endless white slopes and vibrant resort life. There is something for everyone here whether your thing is slowly cruising on gentle blues or adrenaline rush of off piste.”

Raclette

Jess ~ “Cheese, Cheese and more Cheese, a must do when in France. We were treated to a Fondue and Raclette evening at L’Arti restaurant. My lactose intolerant self did pop a couple lactaids in preparation, I refuse to miss out! It was an impressive and delicious array of cheeses, charcuterie and of course wine.”
ing On The Terrace At L'escale Blanche

Our team enjoyed lunch on the sunny terrace of L'Escale Blanc on the snow front in Tignes Le Lac. We really appreciated the sombreros they handed out to keep the sun off our faces!

Great Snow Conditions In Tignes In April 2025

Bluebird Day In Tignes

We were graced with stunning weather and superb snow conditions for our end of April team trip.

SnowSnaps photo competition

We ran a SnowSnaps photo competition this season. Our clients were encouraged to submit their favourite ‘Ski Squad’ photos from their ski holidays. Our team then shortlisted our 10 favourite photos which went to a public vote on Facebook.

Winning SnowSnap

Congratulations to the winner Georgina whose photo received the most votes and has won a £150 EcoSki voucher, a WipeOut snakes and ladders (slopes and lifts) game and a Peak Retreats neck warmer. A moment in time perfectly captured.

Snowsnaps Georgina La Plagne

Georgina ~ “Delighted that this photo has received so many likes! We absolutely loved our holiday in La Plagne and this picture captures it perfectly, even though our daughter is missing (she was off racing around the mountains with friends). Just after this was taken came my most memorable and scariest moment of the trip (I can laugh about it now!) when my amazing Ski Squad quite literally came to my rescue.”

Shortlisted SnowSnaps

We were lucky to receive lots of lovely photos from our clients. Here are the remaining shortlisted photos...

Snowsnaps Felicity Val Cenis

Felicity ~ Val Cenis with family & friends”

Snowsnaps Jenni Les Arcs

Jenni ~ “This photo was taken at the top of the Transarcs lift area in Les Arcs. We went as two families together with Peak Retreats and had the most amazing time in the sunshine over the Easter holidays. The photo shows our four teenagers before they went tobogganing for the second time when they had worked out they didn't want any skin exposed!”

Snowsnaps Eugenie La Plagne

Eugenie ~ “At La Plagne in April — a multi generational family squad - with my father James (still skiing at 83… in jeans), my husband Bud, our sons Elvin and Otis aged 10 and 14, two of my nephews in their twenties (first time for one of them), and — majestically — on the last day my mother Angela (almost 87) joined us on the slopes thanks to the handiski (driven by our son’s snowboard instructor). Total bliss.”

Snowsnapss Jo Les Arcs

Joanna ~ “Here I am enjoying a moment with my snow t Rex...he was a fundamental member of our squad..and came into life after an afternoon at L folie douce Les arcs. Sadly he decided not to join us back here in the UK and we bade a fond farewell leaving Rexy outside our apartment in Vallandry

Snowsnaps Clare La Plagne

Clare ~ “This photo was taken at La Plagne this year during the first week of the Easter school holidays.”

Snowsnaps Tia La Plagne

Tia ~ “Taken in La Plagne at Easter”

Snowsnaps Lynne La Rosiere

Lynne ~ La Rosiere this year-amazing weather for early February. Beautiful sun and snow and so lovely to have all our family with us again for a great ski holiday.”

Snowsnaps Evelyn La Plagne

Evelyn ~ “Rest time and playtime - and what better way to rest than to get together to play a game: Blood on the Clocktower”

Snowsnaps Samantha La Plagne

Samantha ~ “April 2025 La Plagne - Best Friends & Family”
