Historical snow in Serre Chevalier

Serre Chevalier Snow Report – 2013-2018 (5 season average)

Skiing in Serre Chevalier: With 250 km of north-facing pistes, Serre Chevalier is highly rated for its snow record, skiing conditions and scenery.  The area has some of France's best terrain for skiing during bad weather and white-outs, with many sheltered woodland runs (trees cover two-thirds of the mountain).

Snow record data for Serre Chevalier: The first row shows the week for which the measurement applies eg. Nov 4 is the 4th week in November. The Upper Slopes row shows the average snow cover in cm at the top of the ski area. The Lower Slopes row shows the average snow cover in cm at the bottom of the ski area (this is usually where the nursery pistes are located). About 10 cm is generally enough to ski but it very much depends on what’s below ie. grass or more rocky surface.
