Les Gets Snow Report – 2013-2018 (5 season average)
Skiing in Les Gets: Les Gets and its larger neighbour Morzine share one of the best ski areas in the Portes du Soleil with access to a massive 650km of pistes. The terrain is suited to beginners right through to experts. The scenery from Mont Chery, in particular, is stunning with a great panorama of the village and slopes, with Mont Blanc in the distance.
Snow record data for Les Gets: The first row shows the week for which the measurement applies eg. Nov 4 is the 4th week in November. The Upper Slopes row shows the average snow cover in cm at the top of the ski area. The Lower Slopes row shows the average snow cover in cm at the bottom of the ski area (this is usually where the nursery pistes are located although in Les 2 Alpes you can find nursery slopes at all levels). About 10 cm is generally enough to ski but it very much depends on what’s below ie. grass or more rocky surface.
