Historical snow in Les 2 Alpes
Les 2 Alpes Snow Report – 2013-2018 (5 season average)
Skiing in Les 2 Alpes: This resort has always benefited from a superb snow record thanks to the sheer altitude of its ski area and its massive glacier. Snow cover on at least parts of the ski area is always guaranteed from early December until late April. In fact you can still ski there on the glacier in July and August.
Snow record data for Les 2 Alpes: The first row shows the week for which the measurement applies eg. Nov 4 is the 4th week in November. The Upper Slopes row shows the average snow cover in cm at the top of the ski area. The Lower Slopes row shows the average snow cover in cm at the bottom of the ski area (this is usually where the nursery pistes are located although in Les 2 Alpes you can find nursery slopes at all levels). About 10 cm is generally enough to ski but it very much depends on what’s below ie. grass or more rocky surface.
