What's new for winter 2019/20

With the new additions to our programme and developments in resorts we are excited very for next winter season! Take a look below to find out more about the selection of recently built apartments, hotels and private chalets as well as some newly added resorts and new developments for winter 2019/20!

We are very excited to introduce some more beautiful and traditional French ski resorts to our programme for the 2019/20 winter season! Find out more below:

St Nicolas de Véroce, Mont Blanc & Chamonix Valley

Well connected to nearby Saint Gervais and Megève, St Nicolas de Véroce is a small pretty mountain village in the well known area of the Alps - the Mont Blanc and Chamonix Valley. This quaint and charming village is very well positioned in the Evasion Mont Blanc ski area, with 445km of piste to enjoy! The traditional ski village is at an altitude of 1180m, and has historic features such as old farming buildings and a beautiful church. Les 7 Laux, Oisans

This small charming and typically French ski resort made up of 3 villages between 1350m and 1550m in the Oisans region is extremely well located, just 35 minutes from Grenoble airport! The resort has its own ski area offering 120km of piste up to 2400m altitude, with beautiful tree lined runs below 2000m. The resort also has one of the best rated snow-parks in France as well as a large Nordic park which offers classic or skating nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Villard de Lans, Oisans

Well located with a very short transfer time (35 minutes from Grenoble airport) is the lively village of Villard de Lans. A perfect ski destination for families, offering a varied range of piste for all abilities, pedestrianised streets, shops, indoor ice rink, wave pool and more to keep everyone entertained. There's also an excellent ski park with various luge activities and a decent size Nordic Park - one of the largest in Europe! Stay in Le Splendid apartments, find out more below...

Corrençon, Oisans

Linked with Villard de Lans sand sharing the same ski area, the traditional village of Corrençon enjoys a beautiful backdrop of the Vercors National Park - the largest natural reserve in the country. As with Villard, the resort has a very short transfer time from Grenoble airport and has been awarded the Famille Plus label for its suitability to families. New properties

In addition to the great resorts being added to our programme, we have also expanded the accommodation options we feature too. Including some newly built residences, luxury private chalets and an exquisite hotel. Find out more below:

St Nicolas de Veroce - The brand new 5* Armancette is a stylishly understated hotel is just 100m from the nearest slopes and the Chef Lieu lift, and guests can also enjoy the stunning views of Mont Blanc from the terrace! Facilities include a gastronomic restaurant, wine bar, tea room, bakery, beautiful wellness centre with pool, ski lockers, and free WiFi!

Megeve - The Portes de Megeve 18 luxury chalets (including interconnecting chalets sleeping up to 26) and 7 chalet apartments is equidistant from the resorts of Megève and Praz-Sur-Arly with a free shuttle bus. Each apartment is beautifully appointed and decorated. Amenities here include a spa area with hammam and sauna, fitness room and a games room.

Vars - Le Panorama Vars 2000, a 4* superior residence of a main building and 19 separate Chalets containing modern and spacious self-catered chalets.

Tignes 1800 - The brand new 4* Lodge des Neiges opening for the 2019/20 season is in an ideal position at the foot of the new Boisses gondola and offers ski-in/ski-out opportunities. These luxury spacious self-catered apartments are well fitted with modern facilities and a balcony. Facilities include an indoor pool and leisure centre, Ô des Cîmes Spa Centre (treatments payable).

Champagny - The high-quality 4* Balcons Etoilés residence is perfectly situated in one of the best ski-in/ski-out locations in the resort - 150m from the village centre, and 50m from the nearest gondola and ski school meeting point! Les Balcons Etoiles was built for the 2018/19 season, with modern south-west facing apartments, all fully equipped and spacious, and free WiFi.

Les 7 Laux - The 4* superior apartments at Résidence Les Granges des 7 Laux is conveniently located 200m from the village centre of Prapoutel. The property offers ski-in/ski-out right on the pistes, with the main chairlift adjacent to the residence. There is an onsite restaurant, free underground parking, and a wellness centre with pool for guests to use.

Les Saisies - Also newly built is the 4* Amaya, a superior residence made up of 44 self-catered apartments just outside the centre of Les Saisies situated on the Carrets piste offering ski-in/ski-out opportunities. Each apartment is well designed with modern facilities and a balcony. Guests also have access to the private indoor pool and wellness area.

Combloux - The newly built Les Chalets des Pistes apartments will open ready for the 2019/20 winter season. The 3* property is made up of 5 chalet-style buildings at the foot of the slopes with ski-in/ski-out opportunities. All apartments have either a terrace or balcony, and guests have access to the wellness area with indoor pool and free outdoor parking.

Vaujany - The newly built 4* apartments at Residence le Saphir are well-positioned in the heart of the resort, just 70m from the cable car. This exclusive residence of only 18 self-catered apartments are spacious and tastefully fitted, all with a balcony or terrace. Other facilities include free covered parking, ski lockers and free WiFi.

Villard de Lans - The renovated historic Grand Siècle hotel has been transformed into Le Splendid, offering quality 3* self-catered apartments. The property offers guests some fabulous viewd of the Vercors mountains and regional park, with facilities including free WiFi, private ski locker, and secure parking.

St Martin de Belleville - The excellent Hotel Saint Martin & apartments enjoys one of the most convenient and quiet locations at the top of the St Martin de Belleville, For guests of the hotel, there's 2 restaurants, a cosy lounge/bar with fireplace, wellness area as well as the spa (treatments payable locally. There's also ski-room with boot warmers and direct access to the piste.

Saint Gervais - This converted 150 year-old shepherd's dwelling, Chalet Percy, has been lovingly restored and offers a unique place to stay for a winter holiday in the Mont Blanc/Chamonix valley. It's less than 2kms from the Bettex lift and offers breathtaking views of the village and the mountains. Sleeping 6 people, the chalet is a great choice for smaller groups and families.

Corrençon - The 3-star superior Hotel du Golf is a well established, family-run boutique hotel. The hotel enjoys a quiet, countryside setting just 2kms from the nearest lifts, 2km from the resort centre, and 800m from the golf course and the Hauts Plateaux cross-country ski area. There's a lounge bar, a small wellness area, ski room, private parking, WiFi, and a fantastic gastronomic restaurant called La Palégrié.

Les Gets - Overlooking the resort and above some woodland with superb views towards the Mont-Chéry, Chalet Delphine 7 is only 250m from the pistes and the village centre. Recently opened, this luxury chalet offers guests a comfortable stay with access to the spa area including indoor heated pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room. A full or partial hotel service can be organised on request.

We have added several new properties in Let Gets to our programme this season, all offering fantastic facilities for a comfortable stay on a winter holiday in the Portes du Soleil...

K2 - This 4-star Residence is made up of high-quality and comfortable apartments which enjoy a wonderfully quiet position at the entrance to Les Gets. Situated just 200m from the Perrières chairlift and 800m from the main shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a small supermarket and 2 good restaurants within 150m. Facilities include free indoor parking, ski lockers and free WiFi.

Chalets Kailash - These luxurious 4-star apartments are found in a wonderfully quiet position at the entrance to Les Gets, 100m from the Perrières chairlift, 1km from the main shops, bars, and restaurants, with a small supermarket and 2 good restaurants within 50m. The property provides high standard, spacious and comfortable accommodation with free outdoor parking and free WiFi.

Residence Kilimandjaro - These high-quality apartments enjoy a convenient position in Les Gets, 600m from the Chavannes Express and 800m from the Mont Chery gondola and ski school meeting point. There's a wide choice of bars, restaurants and shops within 400m and the apartments are fitted and furnished to a very good standard with free covered parking and free WiFi throughout.

La Tania - Newly built for the 2019-20 season, the Yellowstone Lodge is an exclusive development of 4 luxury chalets situated in a peaceful location with ski-in/ski-out convenience, just above the La Tania gondola and 100m from the resort’s shops, bars and restaurants. Each chalet has added luxuries such as a log burner, ski lockers, free WiFi, and a balcony with a hot tub. The views are breath-taking. 

Chamrousse - The great value les Balcons du Recoin enjoys probably the most convenient ski-in/ski-out location in Chamrousse 1650 and offers great views over the Belledonne mountain range. The residence is set at the foot of the slopes and is just 50m from the Croix gondola, the Tourist Office, bars, restaurants and shops. The resort shuttle bus also stops nearby.

Resort News

St Martin de Belleville

• Outdoor spa - The new outdoor Lys Spa opens this winter, located in the heart of the village at Place du Biolley. It will feature three hot tubs, sauna, a ‘chill-out’ area, herbal tea room and changing facilities. Tickets approximately €5.
• Village ski lockers - Ski lockers are being installed in the village for the convenience of guests. These will hold up to 300 pairs of skis in total!
• Ski lift updates - The main Saint Martin 1 gondola is being updated, with all old cabins being replaced and the speed of the lift being increased. The improved capacity will mean a rise from 1,800 to 2,400 people per hour!

Les Deux Alpes

• New lifts - A new lift in the Chalance bowl will grant access to the glacier from La Fee. A new 8-seater Crêtes chairlift will replace the original 4-seater which will be moved to Le Thuit. The Super Venosc chairlift, built in 1987, will also be replaced with a shorter and faster chairlift but still reusing the old Toura chairlift.

La Rosiere

• l'X Trem luge - A brand new attraction in the resort for children and adults alike. Open in winter and summer, the mountain coaster (luge on rails) descends at speeds up to 45km/h!

Saint Gervais

• Upgraded chairlift - the original 2-seater Chattrix chairlift is being upgraded to a more efficient and comfortable 6-seater chairlift due to open on 21/12/19.
• Piste changes - The Chattrix piste is also being modified to improve accessibility particularly for beginner skiers skiing towards St Nicolas de Véroce. 

Les Gets

• New pistes - A brand new blue run will be opening for the 2019/20 season located down Les Perrières. There will also be a new piste for ski touring.
• New spa - Les Sources du Chéry spa is located in the centre of Les Gets with a wellness centre, beauty salon, children's play area, shop and art gallery.
• New areas and activities - Les Gets has a number of new developments in resort, including; luxury picnic area, viewing platform at Ranfoilly summit, Husky sledding, La Bankids play area, and Les Durs à Cuire restaurant. 

Les Saisies

• Resort development - in addition to a brand new 6 seater Chairlift, Les Saisies has additional developments for this season which improve the access to the ski area from the Carrets sector of the resort.
