Can you ski in March in France? Yes you can!

image Tuesday, 12, March, 2019

If you subscribe to our newsletter or read our blog regularly, you will know that we are big fans of skiing in March and April. Fresh snow, sunshine, blue skies and great ski deals make it one of our favourite times to ski!

The recent fresh snowfall has got us super excited about March and April skiing with webcams and social media awash with photos of the kind of conditions we dream about and that we couldn't resist sharing. After all, there's plenty of time to get another ski in this season!

(The photo above is from St Gervais Mont Blanc's Facebook page - 12/03/19).

La Rosiere

We spotted this beautiful photo of La Rosière on the resort's Facebook page. You can almost feel the fresh snow falling on your face. This photo is from 11/03/19. La Rosière is famed for its family-friendly credentials and holds the Famille Plus Montagne label. Its Petit Saint Bernard trail is perfect for building younger skiers' confidence. This season they have opened a whole new mountainside of skiing with new red slopes and secured freeride possibilities to give more options to those who like more challenging slopes. Ready to go? Explore our accommodation in La Rosière and book online or let us know your requirements and we'll do the leg work.

This stunning webcam photo (12/03/19) comes from Les 2 Alpes. Located in Isère, France’s third biggest mountain destination. The resort is surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and because there are slopes on both sides of the resort, there's always a lift nearby. The resort has an excellent snow record and glacier skiing, what's not to like? Explore the resort and check availability to book or let us know your requirements and we will be in touch.

Oz en osians

This shot made us want to be clipping on our skis! Just look at the snow falling in Oz en Oisans. They shared this photo on their Facebook page (12/03/19). It's a great resort, often overlooked by skiers but with easy access from Grenoble, around 1h 40 mins driving time from Grenoble Alpes Isère Airport, and the advantage of being part of a huge snow-sure ski area (it's linked to Alpe d'Huez), it's definitely worth a visit. Browse our accommodation in Oz en Oisans, book online or get some advice from our friendly team by giving us a call or sending us an email

Valmorel in March

Wish you were here? Us too! These are the sort of conditions we love. This is from Valmorel's Facebook page (12/03/19). Valmorel is known as 'Valmorel la Belle' and we can see why. This attractive traditional-style resort has a car-free resort centre making it a firm family-favourite and with 165km of slopes, there's plenty to keep everyone busy. See all our accommodation and find your perfect place to stay in Valmorel then book online or send us your requirements and we'll put a detailed quote together for you.

Combloux

Combloux posted this image on their Facebook page earlier this month (06/03/19); skiing or admiring the stunning view? We think it'd be a bit of both for us! Combloux is a traditional Savoyard village in a beautiful setting and linked to the huge Evasion Mont Blanc ski area (with 445km of slopes!). There are views over Mont Blanc from the terrace at 4-star Les Fermes du Mont Blanc apartments... tempted? Find out more, book online or give us some details and get a quote from us.
