Meet the Peak Retreats team

Get acquainted with the Peak Retreats team!

We have a wealth of experience between us, some of us having been with the company for over 15 years.

Our team has a passion for the ski industry; many of us have spent a considerable amount of time in the mountains, whether on our own trips or on team trips…or both!

Our reservations team offer a real person at the end of the phone (or email) who can discuss your requirements at length. No timescales, just pure conversation the old-fashioned way. We can then research everything for you.

After you've made a booking, you can always keep in touch for whatever you need. The same team are there just at end of the phone.

We also have a dedicated admin team who work behind the scenes and send your holiday documentation out to you. From start to finish, there is always someone in your corner.

Look through our team below and hover over a picture to find out more including some of our favourite ski tips and memories.

Ski resorts with the best views: Any resorts that overlook the Mont Blanc, but special mentions have to go to Les Arcs, specifically the Aiguille Rouge viewing platform, and Les Saisies!

A French Alps hidden gem I think everyone should visit is: Montgenèvre - it has great pistes for all types of skier, plus you can ski over the border into Italy!

My favourite childhood memory is: Every Christmas, me and my family dress up and go skiing. We have a different theme every time, but my favourite was when we all dressed up as Christmas trees!

Go-to mountain drink: It has to be a pint of French beer! Even better if it’s from a local brewery

Go-to mountain food: Can’t go wrong with a classic Tartiflette!

My favourite mountain food is: Tomme Cheese, which is produced in the Alps. It melts easily so it’s great with meals like raclette. My favourite way of having it is as an aperitif with charcuterie, crackers, grapes and a glass of wine!

One piece of ski gear I can’t live without is:  A good base layer – thermals and a warm pair of socks are key to keeping warm whilst out on the slopes!

Most challenging slope I’ve skied: The Marmottes piste in Courchevel. I was following colleagues and didn't find out it was a red until afterwards. Having not skied a red before, I considered that a conquest!

My top tip for people booking their first ski holiday is: Choose a resort with a variety of runs, so you can progress throughout the week. Also look at activities beyond skiing – I’ve loved trying snowshoeing, zipwires and watching ice hockey!

Funniest ski memory: On a team trip to Les Arcs, I clipped into my skis in deep snow to get on the chairlift, but halfway up I noticed I was missing a ski! I hopped off at the end and waited for another skier to bring it up.

My favourite piste in the French Alps is: the Guy Périllat blue piste in La Clusaz – it has beautiful views over the reservoir, and down into the valley

My top tip for beginners is: Don’t get frustrated if you don’t pick things up as quickly as expected! The first day on the slopes is mostly about getting used to your equipment and the feel of skiing.

The ski resort I think has the best views is: Chamonix. With the Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi, there's plenty of breath-taking sights!
