This is probably the Peak Retreats’ team favourite hotel across all our resorts. Steve, from our reservations team, says ‘not only does it have the perfect location for a ski hotel but there is also a really nice feel to the place. There is a genuinely relaxing atmosphere which I think is all down to David, the friendly owner, who takes great pride in his hotel'. His guests are guaranteed a warm welcome and a friendly smile, as expected in a hôtel de charme. The hotel is ideal for couples and families alike.
The Hotel du Bourg has a highly attractive, traditional and comfortable feel. The popular and atmospheric lounge/bar is designed like an English pub with its open log-fire, dart board and TV. It's an ideal spot to unwind after a hard day’s skiing, perhaps after a session in the sauna (free). Guests have access to the ski room and free WiFi is available in the public areas of the hotel. Babysitting can be arranged on request. There is outdoor parking in front of the hotel (€64/week, Winter 17/18) and indoor (€71/week, Winter 17/18) 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There is also free parking located 3km away (free shuttles every 20 minutes). Pre bookable online on http://www.valmoparc.com/en/tariffs.html
Journalist Briony Key stayed in Hotel du Bourg during her stay in Valmorel. Read her review on Ski Bible here.
We offer the Hotel du Bourg on a bed and breakfast basis, thereby affording our guests the flexibility of dining around in the resort’s extensive choice of quality restaurants, all available in the immediate vicinity. Breakfast is a continental buffet with a selection of local cheese and ham.
The hotel’s 52 guest rooms are all attractively decorated in typical Savoyard style, and have bath, WC, flat screen satellite TV, hairdryer and telephone. Some have a balcony.
Standard rooms are compact with a double bed; comfort category rooms are more spacious; family rooms are for either 3 persons with a double bed and a single for a child, or for 4 persons with a double bed and a sofa bed for 2 children.
