Le Splendid

This good quality residence, completely refurbished in 2019, enjoys a wonderfully convenient, central location, with the resort’s many amenities within 200m. The slopes, lifts and ski school meeting point are 3km away and accessed by the free resort shuttle bus (in 15 minutes approx). The bus stop is 100m away. Alternatively, they are a 7 minute drive away.

Formerly the resort’s leading hotel from the Grande Epoque, the Splendid has now been lovingly and tastefully restored in a happy balance of art deco and modern styles and returned to its former glory days. Particularly interesting are the attractive trompe l’oeil flora and fauna designs found throughout the building, the light filled reception has a beautiful patterned tiled floor and original light fittings; where possible the building's original wooden floors and heritage style radiators have been retained. The views of the surrounding Vercors mountains and village are breathtaking.

All 33 spacious apartments are tastefully decorated and have a living area with double sofa bed, satellite TV and dining table; fully equipped kitchen area with ceramic hob, combined oven/microwave oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, kettle and toaster; shower room and wc; most have a balcony or terrace. The style is modern and airy whilst wooden wardrobes, from when the building was a Maison de Repos, add a touch of character.

1 bedroom apartment 48m2, sleeping 2-4: bedroom with a double bed; mountain view

2 bedroom apartment 52-60m2, sleeping 4-6: bedroom with a double bed; either a bedroom with a double bed or an alcove with bunk beds; either mountain view or garden and village view

2 bedroom duplex apartment 62m2, sleeping 6-8: bedroom with a double bed; bedroom in the eves with 4 single beds; mountain view

Price is unless specified, per accommodation, per week, on a self-catering basis, in £s Sterling, including a Standard Eurotunnel LeShuttle crossing from Folkestone to Calais with a car with free FlexiPlus upgrade on selected dates. A supplement will apply for travel on certain peak dates. £15 each way supplement for high cars (above 1.85m) will also apply. Other routes and operators available (including P&O routes from Hull to Rotterdam plus Brittany Ferries route from Portsmouth to Caen). Accommodation only deduct £420.
