Sightseeing & day tripsThe Haute-Savoie has a remarkable range of world attraction sites. The views from the top Aiguille du Midi, Europe highest cable car are literally breathtaking. For another way to admire the majestic Mont-Blanc try the scenic Montenvers train leading to the Sea of Ice. Towns like Annecy, the little Venice of the Alps, Chamonix, the mountaineering capital or Aix-les-Bains, a favourite of Queen Victoria are well worth a visit.

Local entertainmentAll the local tourist offices work out hard to offer a daily programme of entertainment during July and August. Activities organised include nature walks, arts and craft workshops for the whole family, folk dancing, wine tasting, wild Marmotte spotting, outdoor games, boules tournaments... Check the daily programme at the local tourist office.

Food & DrinkFrance is long time favourite for all food and wine lovers. The whole Rhone-Alps region is no exception. Gastronomical delights include dishes such as Fondue Savoyarde, Raclette, Tartiflette, and famous mountain cheeses like Tome de Savoie or Beaufort, all to be enjoyed with a local Mondeuse wine.

Local marketsEach village has its own local market. Discover delicious local cheeses, charcuterie, Alpine honey, homemade jams, fresh local fruits and vegetables, arts and craft.
