The setting of Les Saisies is spectacular as it lies half-way between the 'Beaufortain' valley and the 'Val d'Arly' valley, two magnificent areas of Savoy, with views towards Mont Blanc. The 'Beaufortain' with its wonderful scenery is sometimes called' The French Tyrol'. The village itself is charming with wood clad chalets and a bustling high street complete with some 40 shops and a big selection of bars, pubs, pizzerias, crêperies, grills and restaurants offering the choicest Savoyard dishes.
Les Saisies is better known in winter since the 16th Winter Olympic Games at Albertville when it hosted the cross-country skiing, it is also a popular summer destination.
Les Saisies village itself is charming with wood clad chalets and a bustling high street complete with some 40 shops and a big selection of bars, pubs, pizzerias, crêperies, grills and restaurants offering the choicest Savoyard dishes.
Activities available in Les Saisies are numerous from leisurely walks and mountain bike itineraries to most mountain pursuits. The Via Ferrata and its vertiginous views or the ‘Escaladventure’ climbing discovery centre are particularly recommended. Children will love the leisure park with its bouncy castle, trampolines and other activities. You can even improve your French at the ‘Alp’Lingua’ language school.
