New development coming soon – Intrawest at Flaine: Flaine MontSoleil

Canadian developer Intrawest, creator of Arc 1950 in France plus Whistler in Canada and world leader in destination resorts and leisure travel, has announced their second European development in Flaine, Flaine MontSoleil. With a network of premier resorts Intrawest recently won the Homes Overseas Award for ‘Best Ski Development’ and ‘Best French Apartment’ 2006 following the success of Arc 1950 Le Village.

The Flaine MontSoleil development will cover 35,000sqm, the first phase having been launched in June 2006 comprising of 85 apartments with the second phase to be unveiled the end of 2006 and launched in March totally 77 apartments. Completion will be sometime between 2008 and 2012.

Flaine MontSoleil will consist of approximately 500 apartments, commercial outlets, leisure centre and landscaped grounds. The cosy 4* apartments will be of high specification with ski-in ski-out access to the main slopes of Flaine. The resort will be entirely pedestrian with cars conveniently hidden underground.

Doubling up as a winter and summer destination Flaine is ideally located one hour from Geneva Airport and in the heart of the Grand Massif Haute-Savoie at an altitude of 1700m. Flaine is one of the closest French ski resorts to Calais and has total of 265km of piste within the Grand Massif ski area offering challenges to all abilities of skiers/snowboarders. Due to its high altitude it is renowned for its exceptional snowfall as well as snow quality and ensures skiing in early and late season.
