In the heart of the international 27 hole Golf course of Giez (one of the most famous in the region), Le Birdie offers stunning scenery of the surrounding mountains. A cycling path to the lake passes by the residence and there are numerous country lanes close by to explore the pretty region by foot, bike or car.

Le Birdie is equipped with all modern amenities and boasts indoor and outdoor swimming-pools (open mid-June to mid-September, depending on weather conditions), sauna (payable €10 per session), bread delivery service, breakfast service (from €8.50/person), WiFi access at reception, tennis court (payable €10/hour), boules pitch and private outdoor parking. The loan of hairdryers, irons and ironing tables, board games and vacuum cleaners is available.

The apartments at Le Birdie have: living area with double sofa bed and TV, fully equipped kitchen area with electric hob, fridge, multi-function oven, dishwasher, kettle and coffee-maker, bath or shower room, separate WC (except for studios) and a furnished terrace, balcony or garden area (except for alcove studio for 4) overlooking the golf course, the village or the countryside.

Refundable deposit €350, local tourist tax c €0.50/pers/day, end of stay cleaning if apartment is not left in perfect order €35-€60 depending on he size of the apartment. To hire: bed linen €8/bed, towel set €5/pers, cot €10/week, high chair €6/week, baby bath €4/week or complete baby set €18/week. Pets welcome €35/week each.

Giez offers two courses: The Belvedere, an 18 hole course that offers a magnificent view of Mont Blanc and Les Castors a 9 hole specially designed for beginners with a large covered practice range, putting green, practice bunkers and an area for approach shot practice. Open competitions are held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday on both courses.

The 200 year old converted tool work shop is perfectly situated and offers great views from its terrace of play on five holes. Both courses are built with a mixture of tree lined fairways and water hazards to make this course a technical picturesque challenge. Holes 4-9 are situated on a plateau that offers fantastic views of Lac Annecy and Mont Blanc and is accessible by virtue of a courtesy mini bus.
