    • A highly regarded restaurant

The award-winning Abbaye de Talloires is probably the best known hotel in the Savoie region, and certainly one of the most highly regarded and best loved in the whole of France.

This former 17th century Benedictine Abbey, enjoying a beautiful setting right on the lake and in the heart of the very picturesque Talloires bay, has been completely and lovingly restored to provide a very comfortable base for your stay on Lake Annecy.

The village centre is a slight uphill 200m walk and the Lake Annecy ferry 80m. The atmosphere at the Abbaye is refined but relaxed and the hotel is the perfect venue for a couple’s special break away.

The Abbaye is renowned for its cuisine and our half board arrangement affords you the opportunity of dining in the hotel’s restaurant: Aux Jardins des Délices. Dinner comprises 4 courses, breakfast is a full buffet and all our guests also receive a welcome drink. Mondays and Tuesdays outside July and August the restaurant is closed, allowing guests the opportunity of trying one of the other highly rated restaurants in the resort. Peak Retreats half board guests staying at least 7 nights (outside July and August) receive an upgraded gala dinner on their first evening.

Facilities include an atmospheric lounge in the old cloisters, a bar in the vaulted cellar, an oak paneled restaurant, a lake-side terrace (home of the Table de Cézanne brasserie - a perfect lunch venue), attractive garden (where dinner is served in fine weather), a private lakeside pontoon for sunbathing, massage (payable locally), small spa and Wi-Fi. Free outdoor parking. There is no lift.

Hotel rooms:

Standard rooms are twin or double (please specify your preference when booking), overlooking the garden and with side-lake view from the balcony; bath or shower, satellite TV, safe, telephone, minibar and hairdryer. Lake view rooms (with no balcony) are available at a supplement.
