Although many of our resorts and most of the accommodation we have personally selected are not featured by any other UK tour operator, we have found the odd apartment residence in some of the larger tour operator brochures.

Many large companies charge per person rates however at Peak Retreats we charge a rate for the apartment with no under occupancy fees. It may sound attractive to pay a per person rate if there are only 2 of you in an apartment that would sleep 4 or 6, however with the under occupancy fees you are almost paying again. So in the end you are not saving at all with these large companies.

As you can see below, our prices are extremely competitive. Infact we are up to 143% less than one company for a 2 bedroom apartment at half term below. Why pay more for the same thing? We are fully bonded with ABTA for your total financial protection and between our staff in our Portsmouth based office we have visited every resort and accommodation in our programme.

How about special offers then?

Well no we don’t have systematic misleading special offers, as we prefer not to inflate our prices artificially in order to allow for any discount or free pen type of offer.

How do we do it?

We don’t employ local representatives, as we do not feel that you will find them necessary. Instead we rely on our French partners to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as it should be.

We don’t sell through high street travel agents who demand high levels of commission for what often turns out to be poor service.

As a small specialist operator we do not pre-buy wholesale chalet beds or airline seats, which means that you only pay for your holiday and not the empty space that larger operators inevitably incur.

We work in France all year round and have very successful relations with our French suppliers, which mean that we can secure the best prices for our clients and that we do not have to rely on the winter months as a source of income.

We don’t have huge overheads and we don’t have institutional shareholders who demand high levels of profits.

Other advantages of booking with Peak Retreats

1. Peak Retreats requires that the final balance is paid 8 weeks prior to departure. Larger operators like Crystal/Thomson/TUI request the final balance 10 weeks prior to departure.

2. Larger operators like the above charge 2.5% for paying by credit card. Peak Retreats charges 1.85%.

3. If you have to cancel within 69 to 42 days before the holiday larger operators like the above charge between 30-50% cancellation charges. With Peak Retreats you only loose your deposit up to 42 days before.

4. Larger operators like the above charge a £15 per person fee for all bookings within 15 days of departure. Peak Retreats makes no such charge.

5. Larger operators like the above charge a £35-55 per person fee to make very minor changes to a booking (like changing a passenger name). Peak Retreats makes no such charges (unless lead name change).
