Bois de Champelle
The Bois de Champelle is a chalet park
situated in the quiet ‘Vers le
Pont’ hamlet, about 1 km from the centre
of Morillon Village and 1.5km from the cable
car. Road access is very easy as there is no
slope to climb. The free resort ski bus
stops just 100m away from the chalets but as it
only operates at certain times during the day
so a car is highly recommended.
Built in typical Savoyard style, Bois de
Champelle consists of 30 detached chalets.This
set-up offers the best of both worlds: you will
enjoy the privacy of an individual wooden
chalet; but also appreciate the comfort of a
Reception service with an easy point of contact
and extra facilities such as free access to the
site’s indoor heated pool (pool
size 11m x 5m), small sauna and small fitness room
(these
facilities are open during reception opening
times and close at 7pm).
The loan of board games, high chair, baby bath,
changing mat, iron and ironing board,
hairdryer, raclette and fondue sets is
available from Reception. Free wireless
internet access at Reception. For your
convenience, there is also a laundry room
(payable) and breakfast delivery service
(€10/pers).
There is a free covered parking space next to
each chalet at Bois de Champelle.
The chalets are decorated in alpine style with
wood much in evidence and are fitted and
furnished to a fairly simple standard of
comfort and convenience. All chalets at
Bois de Champelle enjoy a balcony, a terrace
and a small garden area. The chalets are all on
split-level: on the ground floor, there is a
living area with a double pull-out bed (no
other form of comfy seating as described in FAQ),
TV and hi-fi, a dining area and a fully
equipped kitchen area with electric hob,
dishwasher, microwave, electric coffee-maker,
toaster), a bathroom and separate wc. Please
note that these chalets have been equipped with
mainly French clientele in mind and the
equipment is fairly basic (eg. coffee bowls
instead of mugs). A wooden staircase leads to
the upstairs bedrooms.
