Chalet Mounier
Family run for generations, the delightful
hotel Chalet Mounier is the oldest hotel in Les
Deux Alpes. The charming hotel is an authentic
little gem offering guests a cosy retreat, yet
within a 2 minute walk to the Diable Telecabine
cable car, and in the heart of the restaurant
area.
Facilities include an indoor
heated
pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and
fitness room. Beauty
treatments and massages are also on offer at a
supplement. The cosy bar,
the comfortable lounge with open fire, the TV
room with DVD, i-Mac and wireless internet
connection or the games room with a pool table
are ideal for relaxing after a day’s
skiing. The Michelin starred on site
restaurant ‘Le P’tit Polyte’
offers highly rated gourmet cuisine. Half-board
guests will enjoy a refined 4 course meal as
standard (Michelin star menu available at a
supplement locally).
Attention is also given to the well appointed
breakfast buffet which offers the traditional
selection of croissants and baguettes, regional
jams, honey and marmalades and of course
everything else one expects like cereals,
cheese, yogurt, fresh orange juice, fromage
frais, hot drinks and fresh fruits.
Spread over 3 floors, the comfortable 44
bedrooms are pretty and are well-appointed.
Standard rooms overlook the resort on the
north-facing side; superior rooms have a
south-facing balcony overlooking the mountains.
There are a few triple (3 single beds) and
family rooms (double bed and bunks separated by
a curtain) also available. All the rooms have
an ensuite bathroom with bath (3 have a shower)
and hairdryer, flat screen TV,wireless internet
access, telephone and safe box.
To pay locally: New Year’s Eve party
supplements €90/pers (limited spaces,
subject to availability, state at time of
booking).Covered car park €40/week. Local tourist tax
€1.30/pers/day.Pets are welcome
