New development for sale in Samoens, Haute-Savoie

We are pleased to introduce a brand new development in Samoens, the only resort in France to be listed as a 'Land of Art and History'. Located in the heart of the Giffre Valley and the Grand Massif ski area, it couldn’t be more convenient being less than an hour’s drive from Geneva airport. The Grand Massif ski area consists of 265km of piste offering challenges to all abilities of skiers/snowboarders.

A range of apartments and chalets finished to a very high standard are available, located on a south-facing hillside close to the village centre and next to the botanical gardens. The developer is the owner of one of the luxury chalets that has been featured by Peak Retreats for a few years now. He has been building quality wooden chalets in the area for the past 20 years.

The development is due to be completed between Christmas 2008 and July 2009 but already quite a few of the apartments have been reserved.

Within the development there will be 3 individual chalets and 13 spacious chalet apartments (max 4 apartments per chalet). The apartments will be ranging from 2-5 bedrooms all en-suite (108m²-225m²) arranged over 2/3 floors (habitable area vary from 76m² to over 160m² – as a comparison 2 bedroom MGM/Intrawest apts are about 45-50m²) with fireplace and fully fitted kitchen. Each also has a ski locker and individual garage (some double) or car porch. All have balconies/terraces and some have a garden area. These are arranged over 2/3 floors.

Prices range from £285k for the apartments to £670k for the semi detached 5 bedroom chalet for freehold incl. of VAT

Geneva airport is 1 hour driving from Samoens, Chambery airport is also close. Grenoble and Lyon are further away but still within reasonable driving distance. The furthest away is Lyon St Exupery airport at 2 hrs.

The TGV train station of Cluses (20 mins away) has fast direct services to Paris.
