Le Penoutlay
Chalet Sleeps 6 Bedrooms: 3
In a commanding position towards the top of a
steep hillside leading to the tiny hamlet of
Passy, Chalet Penoutlay in Sixt fer a Cheval is
less than a mile from the village centre. The
chair lift for the local Sixt domaine is 100m
away.
Built of timber, Le Penoutlay is a typical
Alpine chalet offering a homely atmosphere.
South facing, it enjoys some breathtaking
views. To enjoy a drink or two in the fresh air
whilst admiring the views, there’s
nowhere better than the sunny terrace which
runs along the length of the sitting/dining
room.
This welcoming and cosy chalet sleeps 6 with
the main double bedroom (king size bed) with
brand new en-suite bathroom with shower,
washbasin and wc on the first floor and two
further bedrooms (1 twin and 1 double) on the
second floor.
Located on the first floor, Le
Penoutlay’s open-plan living/dining area
is an inviting place in which to relax.
Pine-panelled throughout, it offers a
traditional chalet décor with wood
burning stove to create that warm feeling. The
kitchenette area is well equipped. The second
bathroom situated on the first floor has
shower, washbasin and wc. The open tread stairs
to the second floor are very steep (child gate
at top) but the bedrooms can also be reached
via steps from the outside.
On the ground floor is a store room with
washing machine, tumble dryer and a second
fridge. There is space for three cars at the
front of the chalet. Please note that the
access road to the chalet is steep and snow
chains may be required. Ski bus stop at
bottom of access road.
Wood burner heating (wood supplied) with added
electric convectors
Bed linen included in the price. End of stay
cleaning on request €40. Refundable
deposit €300
