Chalet Sleeps 10 Bedrooms: 4
Located in Morzine, La Ferme has a peaceful and
rural feel yet is only 600m from the Nyon ski
lift or a 5 minute drive to the centre of the
village (2km from shops). The free
resort shuttle bus stops 100m from
the front door and takes you to the
village centre, a variety of lifts and
surrounding resorts. We do recommend having a
car for convenience.
The spacious chalet is a stylish 18th century
traditional farmhouse entirely renovated
recently. Arranged over four floors, the
inviting interior featuring exposed timber and
extensive use of bright pinewood has kept the
charming and authentic feel. All the fittings
and equipment are of a very high standard from
the tastefully chosen furnishing and fabrics to
the kitchen equipment, Egyptian cotton sheets
and refined toiletries.
La Ferme offers great style and comfort and
sleeps 10 in 4 bedrooms, all with solid wood
furniture and built-in wardrobes: bedroom 1 on
the ground floor has a queen-size bed (that can
be split into two singles) and an en-suite
bathroom with hairdryer. Bedroom 2 on first
floor has a double bed and an en-suite shower
room with wc. Bedroom 3 has a double bed, large
sliding glass door opening out onto a balcony
with great views up the valley and a separate
shower room with adjacent wc. Bedroom 4 is a
loft located under the eaves: very spacious, it
has 4 single beds (of which one drawer
bed with proper mattress) and an
en-suite cloakroom with wc and washbasin, a TV
and a large selection of children’s
videos and a sofa bed. It offers amazing views
through skylights.
The fully equipped oak kitchen has a
traditional French farmhouse table, chairs and
benches, quality appliances including full size
oven, a good range of cookware including a
fondue set and dinner service for 14 guests. An
additional cloakroom with WC and washbasin is
adjacent.
Staircase from the kitchen leads up to the
living area which features a stone fireplace
with glass screen, comfortable sofas and a
bookcase including a selection of games and
toys for all ages. A contemporary centre
lighting piece and spot lights in the oak beams
create a relaxing ambiance. A large sliding
glass door opens onto an authentic Savoyard
timber balcony with outdoor furniture.
There is plenty of space for ski storage and
equipment in the ‘cave’ (accessed
from street level, with a trap door providing
access via stairs down from the kitchen); it
has a dryer, separate freezer, heated boot
rack, four sledges and snow shoes. There is a
small double garage with electronic remote
control.
Outside
there is a garden area and a good size
decking balcony with superb
views.
For your own comfort, La Ferme is strictly
non-smoking and pets are not allowed. The
chalet can accommodate up to 14 people (with a
maximum of 10 adults).
Cot and high
chair provided. Wood log starter pack
provided.
There
are 4 adult mountain bikes available
in the chalet for when the snow has
melted. Daily clean, bread delivery, meal
service and initial starter shopping can
all be organised at a charge (please
enquire).
Bed linen (with beds made on arrival), towels,
end of stay cleaning are included. Refundable
deposit €500. Local tourist tax c
€1/pers/day to pay locally.
