Le Refuge de l’Alpage

Located in a prime position at the foot of the ski slopes in Les Esserts (1100m, pedestrianised resort), Le Refuge de l’Alpage offers some ski-in/ski-out apartments. It is located just a stone's throw from the resort centre and 50m from the nearest ski lift. The Green run Marvel (a family favourite) leads back to some of the apartments. Le Refuge de l’Alpage is close to the nursery slopes, it is perfect for families looking for convenient, professional childcare, as well as for those without children looking for nearby skiing. The mini-market, ski school meeting point, ski hire shop and lift passes are all within short walking distance. Residence Le Buet, where we feature more apartments is a short walk away.

Le Refuge de l’Alpage is a new residence built in typical mountain style with extensive use of wood and stone by the acclaimed ‘mountain architects’ MGM.

The privately owned stylish apartments’ interiors have been tastefully decorated and floor space is more generous than found in most alpine units.

The apartments at Le Refuge de l’Alpage are fitted and furnished to a very high standard of comfort and convenience with pretty homely touches.

The fully equipped kitchenettes all have antique wood units and country-style ceramic tiles, 4-ring ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher and full-size oven. Most of the bedrooms have wooden built-in wall cabinets.

The apartments have ski lockers, parking space and a south or southeast-facing balcony.

Please note that not all apartment’s benefit from the same access to the slopes. Some are further away from the slopes; some are further to the shops and restaurants.

2 Bedroom apartments

C6: 2 bedrooms sleeps 6 (44m2):  living area with double sofa bed, TV, DVD and CD player, double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom, separate wc. First floor. Non smoking. Towels included.

F2: 2 bedrooms sleeps 8 (43.9m2):  living area with a double sofa bed, bedroom with 2 twin beds, bedroom with 2 sets of bunks, bathroom with bath, separate wc. TV/DVD player with English channels, CD player. Towels included.

E3: 2 bedrooms sleeps 6 (44m2): living area with a double sofa bed, TV & DVD, with a selection of DVD’s, double bedroom, bedroom with 2 single beds, bathroom with bath and shower, separate wc, cot & high chair.

B1: 2 bedrooms sleeps 6 (60m2): living area with double sofa beds, TV, CD and DVD players, double bedroom with ensuite shower, twin bedroom, bathroom, separate wc. Ground floor. Non smoking.

3 Bedroom apartments

A1: 3 bedrooms sleeps 6 (68m2):  living area with TV and DVD player, 2 double bedrooms (one king-size with ensuite shower room/wc), bedroom with twin beds, bathroom, separate wc. Ground floor. For the comfort of others, this apartment is strictly non-smoking.

G10: 3 bedrooms sleeps 9:     living area withdouble sofa bed, flat screen TV and DVD player, double bedroom (ensuite shower room/wc), bedroom with bunk beds and single bed, bedroom with twin beds, bath/shower room, separate wc, dishwasher. Towels included.

4 Bedroom apartments

C12: 4 bedrooms sleeps 10:  living area with double sofa bed, TV, DVD, double bedroom with ensuite shower room/wc, 3 twin bedrooms, bathroom, separate wc, washing-machine. 3^rd floor. Towels included.

5 Bedroom apartments

E14: 5 bedrooms sleeps 10 (130m2): living area, dining area, 2 bathrooms, separate WC, 3 twin bedrooms, 2 double rooms both with en-suite shower rooms, private ski locker. Covered parking for 2 cars (to be confirmed). Split level 1^st and 2^nd top floor (the largest apartment in the whole development). Towels included.

Please note that these apartments are privately owned by both French and British owners.

All apartments: Bed linen and end of stay cleaning included in the price. Towels can be hired locally for most apartments, local tourist tax c €1.00/pers/day payable locally. Refundable deposit: £450 payable by UK cheque prior to departure

Larger 2 bed for 6 (B1) is an extra £50 per week.
