The youngest children are looked after at the ‘Halte-Garderie’ (Crèche), which is located in the centre of the village.  Your children will be looked after by qualified staff in new especially adapted premises.

The crèche at Les Chavants is located in a chalet 200m from the ski school and its ‘Jardins des Neiges’, near the foot of the bubble lift.  Includes outdoor games and activities.

Non-skiers can try out the many other activities Les Houches has to offer such as dog sleigh rides, ice-skating, Abre Adventure, climbing, snow shoeing, ice climbing, tree-tops adventure, ski jumping, paragliding, and air excursions. Places to visit include Les Houches local markets, the ‘Musée Montagnard’ and the Saint-Bernard breeding kennels.

Skiing

Les Houches is the regular venue for Chamonix World Cup Downhill but is in fact well suited to families, beginners and intermediates, with easy runs at the top of the mountain. ...more


The 70 kilometres of almost entirely wooded slopes form the biggest single area of prepared runs in the Chamonix valley. The slopes are normally quiet and the views superb from the several attractive mountain restaurants. For the more daring the resort possesses 3 ski jumps.
