Father Christmas will arrive at 17.45 at the
foot of the slopes in Val Cenis
Lanslevillard and will
then put in another appearance at the bottom of
the pistes in Val
Cenis
Lanslebourg.

La Grande Odyssée - Savoie Mont Blanc 2010

Edition
Grande Odyssée is now
regarded as the most difficult sled dog race in
the world due to the topography of the
mountains in which it is run.
The race involves 25 of the best mushers in the world who,
with their Alaskan and Siberian
Huskies, travel over more than 500kms through
the 8 villages of Haute Maurienne
Vanoise.

5th
National ice climbing
meeting
This 5th Ice Climbing Meeting will bring
together more than 100 young climbers of the
Alpine and Mountain Clubs Federation. It is
open to the public and the organisers will loan
equipment to participants for the Saturday and
Sunday so that they may practise in the company
of 10 high mountain guides.
The Friday evening event will be held at Bonneval
sur Arc and is open to
all from 21.00. Films will be shown and
accounts given of alpine experiences and
distant expeditions.
Entry to this and the concert, as well as loan
of equipment, is free of charge.
This event is organised by the Maison de Val Cenis, the Bonneval Tourist Office
and the FMCAM,
together with CAF
Vanoise-Haute Maurienne, the guides of
Savoie-Maurienne,
as well as PGHM and CRS Modane.

The parade leaves from the church in Val Cenis
Lanslebourg, together
with the Les Echalas
Street Company. Street procession, ending with
Mr Carnaval being
put on the bonfire in the

These meetings are organised under the auspices
of the Le Mans Town of Song organisation,
thanks to whom we
have chosen 3 singer-composers, the
“Tremplins”.
On the programme for 2010 are concerts,
exhibitions, films and a dedication.
Final programmes will be announced in Septmeber.

In the footsteps of the journeymen painters of
the Chapel of St Sébastien.
Discover the frescoes in the sumptuous
decoration of a listed historical monument.
Work in the manner of the 15th century
painters, reproduce the icons, handle the sand, pigments

Y’A UN PEPIN DANS LA CITROUILL E
(There’s a sed in the pumpkin!)
Tuesday, 22 December
Put on by the Val Cenis drama, song and
comedy theatre group. “Y’a un pépin
dans la citrouille’ is an
adaptation of the story of Cinderella and
throws a different light on this particular
story.
The show will be performed approximately 12
times during the winter.
NEW SHOWS PERFORMED BY THE STATION CAFÉ
COMPANY
During winter there will also be artistes,
known and unknown, who are real
“musts” to see!

Family figure skating experience
19 – 25 December
Workshop and introduction everyday from Sunday
to Friday from 18.00-20.00. This is aimed at
everyone – the young and not so young
– and at families. The structure of the
course provides for progression over 6 days,
although shorter sessions can be organised.

draglift: “Making artificial snow”.
