News from the La Clusaz tourist office
- Last weekend, La Clusaz (Balme’s area) &
Le Grand-Bornand
(Le Chinaillon)
were opened for the two first days of the ski
season.
Following this, La Clusaz opens Balme’s area from
Saturday 14th to Friday 18th December 2009 (9am
to 4pm) before opening the whole ski area from
Saturday 19 December for the whole ski season.
This opening comes a week earlier than
expected because of its high altitude –
around 2600 meters!
Le Grand-Bornand, the full opening will be on
the Saturday 19th December at 9am. To start the
season, for the very first time an unique
happening will take place on the Piste des
Gettiers! Skiers
could ride on the Miguel Chevalier new work of
digital art, ‘Digital Flocons’
(‘Digital flakes’) from 8pm to
10.30pm!
