2009/2010 - In the Know in the Snow, an entertaining blend of sport and culture, will hit the slopes of Serre Chevalier for the first time this winter 09/10. In the mountains and down in the valley winter sports enthusiasts can take part in a series of cultural activities based on mountain-related history without removing their skis.

Historical adventures, theme-based trails, nomadic structures, photographic exhibitions, ‘soundslopes*’ etc have landed on the mountains, nestled in the heart of the forests and slipped inside cable cars.

 

*Luc Alphand (local ski champion) and mountain guide Raymond Renaud share their passions – recordings can be downloaded free from the tourist office website and loaded onto a MP3 player to listen to.

 

 

2009/2010 - Construction of a new mountain reservoir in Serre Chevalier to guarantee optimum artificial snow cover all season long.

 

 

Grooming school - Many have dreamed of driving a groomer.

This unique experience to live in Serre Chevalier, where the ski area to discover the behaviour of this machine on a secure space in the heart of the slopes.Accompanied by a guide, on a specially equipped track with bumps, banked turns… available from 16 years.

 

There are so many things to discover on the ski slope at night. Aboard a special groomer ski area invites visitors to explore the slopes and peaks of dusk to night.
