Christmas event - get ready to spend a
fabulous Christmas with your children.
Let your little ones experience the fairytale
atmosphere of the Christmas Village celebrating
100 years of skiing in Samoëns with
itinerant shows, entertainment for all ages,
ice sculptures etc.
Not to mention Santa Claus setting off to
deliver his gifts!

La Grande Odysée - La Grande
Odyssée Savoie Mont Blanc is, since its
first edition in January 2005, the toughest
international sled dog race in the world
because of the topography of the mountain it
covers.
The race brings together each year 20 of the
best mushers in the world. Together with their
Alaskan Huskies and Siberian Huskies, they
stride 900km (about 560 miles) in Savoie and
Haute Savoie and mount over 25 000 m.
For the 1st time in 2012, the teams will
discover the trails of the Grand Massif that
joins as territory partner the Espace Diamant,
the Haute Maurienne Vanoise and Megève.

Winegrowers - wine buffs, take note!
Winegrowers invited specially for the occasion
will present the fruits of their labours every
evening from 4 pm to 7 pm. Have a chat with
them and find out about wine from various
angles e.g. chocolate and wine, Savoie wines,
matching wines and food, wine tasting etc.
After a good day’s skiing, take some time
out to appreciate the flavours that are part of
French heritage. This is the ideal opportunity
to top up your knowledge of wine and teach your
tastebuds a thing or two.

Festi’Nordic - Festi’Nordic
is a whole day of fun and entertainment, and a
freeintro to all the winter sports available in
the Upper Giffre Valley.They include
cross-country skiing, ski joëring with
dogs or horses,a biathlon with rifle shooting
and archery, Nordic walking,snowshoes, dog
sleds for the younger children, etc. This is an
opportunity to try out all kinds of winter
sports! There is alsoentertainment with stands,
treasure hunts, igloo building, avalanche
searches…

installing yet more snow cannons for
winter 2010/2011 with the objective of
guaranteeing the link to Flaine until
25/04/2011 and also to maintain the beginner
ski area at Samoëns 1600 open until that
time. Number
in Samoëns, increases from
9 to 59. In Morillon: 63 (+10).

GUIDED TOURS
- Tour of Les Vallons - guided tour of the
rural heritage in the villages of Les Vallons.
Every Thursdays at 10 am.
- Tour of historic Samoëns in English -
guided tours of the history and architectural
heritage of the villageof Samoëns. Every
Mondays at 10 am.
Individual adult: 4 € - Individual child:
3 € - Child under 12: free.
- Tour of Mathonex - guided tours of artistic
heritage in the village of Mathonex.Tour also
includes a visit to the Clos Parchet folk
museum.
