fantastic - we could walk out of our patio doors and
it was 10metres to the piste! Aussois is a lovely

“We have just
had the most fantastic time in Aussois.
The apartment was brilliant and spacious and the
resort was very French. The ski school was very
accommodating, allowing Tomas and Dave to be in the
same class. We were the only English speakers in each
of our groups but the instructors did their best (we
can all speak some French). People in the resort were
very friendly and helpful. The equipment hire shop
Sport 2000 were great, and we were given the 20%
discount on the two helmets we hired. The Flexiplus
tickets took away all our worries at the tunnel, we
did enjoy the refreshments provided. All of the
paperwork provided and advice you offered worked very
well. The ski passes did not require photos as they
were little 'credit' cards. I would just like you to
know that this holiday exceeded all my expectations,
thank you very much for organising it”.

“Just a quick
note to thank Steve and colleagues at Peak Retreats
for helping us out when we left all our ski
documentation in the hotel at Troyes. Everything was
waiting for us at the Chalets de la Vanoise as you
had arranged and we were able to continue our holiday
without any more disasters! This was our first skiing
holiday and La Norma was ideal - very compact so a
limited amount of lugging stuff about for the kids
and plenty of pretty green runs for me. Everyone else
in the family also enjoyed the blue runs and the
children particularly liked the snowparks - making
faster and higher jumps as the week progressed. We
also loved the flexiplus Eurotunnel. Having always
had problems changing train times with Eurotunnel
because they are so full at peak school holiday
times, it was lovely to be able to barge to the
front, pick up our meal and continue onto the train
avoiding all the queues. We'll definitely go for that
option again!”

email to say thanks to Peak Retreats for another
enjoyable week. I was very impressed with
Valloire, nice town with a very good ski area that
was not that busy, all the locals were very
friendly and the lift operators said 'good morning'
each day. The restaurants at the top of the 2
gondolas got busy every lunch time, but the other
mountain snack bars and the restaurants in the town
were not too busy. The accommodation was very nice,
lots of equipment and very spacious, we made use of
the sauna and Jacuzzi every day. The heated
boot room and ski locker was a nice luxury. The walk
to the lift was not too far which enabled some of us
to come back each lunch time for a rest“

“I just wanted
to say what a great holiday we all had in St Sorlin
last week and how much the Peak Retreats experience
helped! I thought the web site was excellent and that
was a significant factor in going with you. Others
have more glossy sites but the choice of resorts and
the detail that is needed when taking a family was
first rate.
Ticketing, vouchers,
ferries were all on time and perfect. Accommodation
was just brilliant for my family and they loved it.
Warm, spacious, well equipped, plenty of storage. You
also seem to have arranged the weather to be stunning
for those non-skiers and even some late snow on the
last two days for us keen skiers! When I needed to
change the return ferry time all I got was support
from your office and that was done easily for me. It
seems like you are running a good operation there and
in the times when money is tight, when you do get a
good experience at a good price, it's worth saying
so.
An on-line
holiday company who you can trust and deliver a great
holiday!

perfect but by the end of the week colder weather and
more snow were needed….Although you described
the accommodation as being on the small side we
thought it was well laid out with good storage. The
location is great only a short walk to the lifts and

prior to us travelling, I think the location is

“Oree des Cimes
was first class. The best MGM I have used so far. It
was particularly good to be able to access within the
price the leisure facilities. The sauna, pool and
Jacuzzi were spacious and easy to use with friendly
staff. The buildings are quite widespread with
underground ski lockers. If you are in the building
close to the piste and the Grizzly lift, this is a
truly ski in / ski out situation. If you are in the
furthest building in the complex, then you have to
cross a car park and go up a path to the piste, a
walk of about 250m. To ski back, you need to be able
to tackle the short red run beside the lift, or walk
up the lower piste about 300m from a blue run to get
to the car park. Useful knowledge if you have
beginners with you. All in all, we were pleased with
the Peak Retreats service and will book with you
again”

“I am writing
to say what a wonderful holiday we have just had. We
thought our last holiday with you was good but this
was excellent. Flexi plus is such a brilliant
invention!
The accommodation at
Hameau des Airelles was very good and the staff were
helpful and pleasant too. Also skiing back to
door is great. The bus service was good
though.
The snow was
fantastic!! And we had gorgeous sunshine most of the
week. The ESF ski school was very organised and the
instructors very friendly and spoke good
English.
We went very
apprehensive about prices because of euro but it
was not too bad and did not feel we were being ripped
off as in some of the bigger resorts. Montegenevre we
felt was a lovely litttle town and we
will go back. We have passed your name onto
people we met out there who went with other tour
operators and didn't get such a good deal as
us.

“I have skied
many times as well as organizing several school
holidays so I feel that I have an understanding of
what makes for a good ski holiday. After searching
the internet for many weeks Peak Retreats stood out
from the rest mainly due to their sensible pricing
policy. After a brochure request we decided on
Vaujany mainly due to its childcare and prettiness.
Obviously other factors such as height for snow, the
swimming pool etc helped but with a new resort
it’s always a shot in the dark (whatever
brochures say!). I’m glad to say that we could
not have picked a more friendly resort. Everyone was
fantastic and Nathaniel enjoyed his ski and loved the
garderie – you can tell the ESF and Garderie
staff loved being with kids. Andie changed classes
three times with no problem and by the end of the
week had total ‘ski confidence’. Being in
3 star class can often be awkward due to different
ski levels but Francois was excellent at teaching
technique to some and helping us older ones break
away from the still engrained pre-carver technique.
By the end of the week even I was skiing with my feet
further apart! The last 2 days involved the Sarrenne
and the tunnel and Francois did an excellent job with
all. Accommodation was simple but had all we needed
and excellent views – and a sensible price
– thank you. All at PR and in Vaujany were very
helpful. Like many others I want to keep Vaujany
quiet although despite some fears there is ample room
and infrastructure for improvement. Thanks
again”

“We returned last week from a week in Ste Foy
and stayed at Les Fermes apartments. We found them
beautifully finished and had everything we needed to
make the holiday special.
Some really good things about Les Fermes:
-Exceptionally convenient for nursery slopes and
lifts
-Very well built and sound insulated – even
though it was evident that there was a reasonable
level of occupancy there was virtually no transferred
noise in the apartments.
-Heated ski and boot lockers
-Swimming pool
-Friendly and helpful staff
-Easy check-in and trouble-free check-out and
hand-back procedure
-Very well equipped – coffee maker, toaster and
plenty of crockery
-Interesting evening mini-events arranged by Les
Fermes – i.e. sale of local produce in the
evening at reception
-For the out and out slothes your breakfast bakery
products could be ordered at reception at save you
the 50m walk across to the patisserie in the
morning.
The other success story of our holiday was the
FlexiPlus ticket. We had no idea that this ticket
gave us a free in-train meal and priority check in.
The staff in the meal dispensing lounges were
friendly, efficient and helpful.

extremely impressed with Peak Retreats!
Marie-Ann was our contact; she was very professional
& helpful, and provided all info we required.
Very prompt service too. A most professional booking
and holiday experience. I was also very impressed
with your website. We were 100% happy with this
holiday, and will not hesitate to come back to PR
again. The resort (Termignon) itself is small
and basic, but that is obvious from the PR website
and other internet information, & is also part of
its charm. We found the people friendly and
helpful, especially Marine’s Bar, and the
restaurants/pizzas around Termignon were good
value. I believe this was the first year the
apartments have dealt with PR, at least that is what
the apartment’s reception lady said. She
also said they were happy to be dealing with PR, and
she hoped PR were equally happy with Les Balcons de
Vanoise. Nice to hear! The Eurotunnel
experience with Flexi-Plus was excellent. In
summary, we chose a lower profile ski trip this year,
due to plunging pound/Euro and the fact that there
were only two of us & we’re not so young
anymore so it was time to forsake the vastness of the
3 Vallees for somewhere more compact. In fact,
we were delighted with the pistes, especially the
reds, and the snow was great! Also, our
experience served us well, choosing North-facing
slopes in late March, a preference which paid-off.
Congratulations, PR, you’re a very good team,
and you delivered an excellent value-for-money
package. We have already recommended PR to
several fellow ski travellers we met along the
way. Hopefully we will be dealing with you
again in 2010 & beyond. Thanks so
