Val Cenis

“We had a wonderful ski holiday in Les Alpages….The sun shone most of the time and we had fresh snow, all making for an ideal ski break”

Mrs H, London – Les Alpages de Val Cenis, Val Cenis, 1st April 2006

“We have just returned from an enjoyable week at Les Balcons, Val Cenis

Mr G. Kent – Val Cenis, Les Balcons, March 2005

“Have just returned from an excellent holiday to Val Cenis and I thought I would let you know how pleased we were with the resort and the skiing. The ski school was excellent and the areas suited all levels of skiers within our party. We truly enjoyed a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend this area for its natural beauty, a charm lost in many other resorts.”

Mrs B. East Sussex – Val Cenis, Les Balcons, February 2005

Valfrejus

“Just got back from a week in Valfréjus and wanted to say thanks for a great holiday. Everything went smoothly…We all had a lovely time. Many thanks, we will definitely go to Valfréjus again with Peak Retreats.”

Mrs S, Essex – Valfréjus, La Turra, January 2005

Aussois

“We went to Aussois Feb half-term. Had a great time – Everything ran really smoothly and we were greatful that we had pre-booked everythimg. Will certainly recommend you, and will certainly go back.”

Mrs. P, Milton Keynes – Aussois, La Combe, 11th February 2006

“Just back from Aussois and we had a great time. Many Thanks! Weather was superb and skiing fantastic!”

Mrs. W, Worcestershire – Aussois, La Combe, January 2005

La Norma

“Having just returned from a week at La Norma with my young family and friends, I feel that I must drop you a few lines to thank you for recommending the resort to us – we had a simply terrific time. I have been skiing twice before, but a long, long time ago and all I remember is the sickly coach ride and to the lift or the long walk uphill in uncomfortable boots after a long day on the slopes, this is not the case at La Norma. The compactness of the resort means that everything from ski lifts to nursery slopes to supermarkets to restaurants is less than a 5 minutes walk away,, ideal for kids and worn out adults alike. I must also comment on the friendliness of the local people working in the various shops and restaurants as the language barrier can be a bit daunting – they were very helpful and patient and a big recommendation for Le Savoy restaurant, absolutely fantastic! Thanks again for an unforgettable week.”

Mr. S, Suffolk – La Norma, Les Chalets de La Vanoise, 18th March 2006

“I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our trip to La Norma. It was just as described – small and friendly with everything on our doorstep. The nursery was great and our youngest daughter really settled there”

Mrs D.Twickenham - La Norma, Chalets de la Vanoise, March 2005

“We really liked La Norma, it was a perfect family resort for us…The children loved the skiing, we would like to go to another resort next year”

Mrs T. Surrey, La Norma, Chalets de la Vanoise, March 2005

“We had a great time. The ski hire pass (much better with the electronic system!) and ski school all went smoothly. The accommodation in Troyes on the way home was good. All the people in the resort were friendly and it has a nice cosy family atmosphere. As before, not too many English/ Irish people around (except for our large party! and the other group that booked through yourselves). The skiing was good, and the people that had been too much bigger resorts all enjoyed themselves on the slopes and the young (5 years or less) had a great time getting used to skis in their lessons.”

Mr G, Bedfordshire, La Norma, Chalets de la Vanoise, February 2005

Valloire

“Thank to Peak Retreats for organizing a fantastic holiday.”

Mr. C, London – Valloire, Les Chalets du Galibier, 1st April 2006

“Our holiday was fantastic from the start everything so simple – checking in for ferry, finding the accommodation when arriving in resort, checking into our accommodation, obtaining our pre-booked ski hire, ski lessons and lift passes. Our apartment in Les Chalets du Galibier was of first class standard and so were the facilities. Underground heated parking was excellent at very little extra cost (nice to know the car was safe for the return journey). Staff were friendly and helpful especially with our limited French. The apartments couldn’t have been better situated, right across the road from a poma lift and our ski school meeting point, with a free ski bus service into the village and to the nursery slopes every 15 minutes all day long. The resort suited us perfectly as a family with two teenage beginners and one intermediate and one advanced adult. After ski school in the morning we were able to ski as a family in the afternoon. Although the resort hadn’t had any snow for nearly 2 weeks when we left, the pistes were still in good condition – obviously showing how the resort is cared for. Après ski ’bum sledging/boarding’ is a must for kids and adult alike – it was highly entertaining in the flood lit area in the village (at only 3 euros a board cheap fun too!!).Across the road from the apartments is a quaint little Pizza ‘shed’ that serves homemade pizza to order, which were excellent and at a very reasonable cost with helpful staff. The children thoroughly enjoyed their first experience of skiing and we will definitely return at some point in the future.

Ms. T, Essex – Valloire, Les Chalets du Galibier, 11th February 2006

“We found Valloire to be an excellent, very French resort…the accommodation (Chalets du Galibier) was of a high standard. The service we received from Peak Retreats was excellent and pre booking of ski school, ski hire and lift passes was a great help.”

Mr S. Chichester – Valloire, Chalets du Galibier, March 2005

“We just came back from Valloire and had a great time, thanks…the resort was lovely and accommodation fine. We would really like to book again for next year!”

Mrs. D. Sussex – Valloire, La Plane, March 2005

Saint-Sorlin d’Arves

“We’ve just returned from a wonderful holiday in Saint-Sorlin d’Arves.”

Mrs F. Ipswich –Chalets de l’Arvan, Saint-Sorlin, March 2005

Brides-les-Bains

“Our stay in the Grand Hotel was one of the highlights of our holiday. Everything was of a very high standard and the meals were exceptionally so. As you may remember my wife returned to work after the first week and I had the delight of describing to her each evening the splendid meal I had just enjoyed. The snow at Samoens was better than Meribel and whilst the hotel there was very cosy the Grand Hotel had set a very high standard.”

Mr. G, Cairnbaan Grand Hotel des Thermes, Brides les Bains, 1st January 2006

“An excellent hotel which we greatly enjoyed”

Mr T. Middlesex – Grand Hotel Les Thermes, March 2005

“I hope you don’t mind me writing this note to express my thanks, and those of my daughter, for a wonderful holiday last week. We had a wonderful time at the Grand Hotel des Thermes, the welcome provided by the staff was one of the highest order, and the facilities were equally impressive. A good choice! Our Channel crossing arrangements were fine, and the hotel at St Omer, Le Grande Bretagne, was homely and welcoming. Thanks again, I shall recommend Peak Retreats to anyone!”

Mr H. London – Brides-les-Bains, Grand Hotel des Thermes, February 2005

“I booked a holiday to Brides-les-Bains with you and had an excellent time…the hotel was excellent and we enjoyed our holiday”

Mr A. Cheshire – Brides-les-Bains, Grand Hotel des Thermes, February 2005

Vaujany

“Once again a brilliant holiday, Your apartment was excellent just as you described and the location in Vaujany was brilliant….I have two very happy girls, one at her one star at age 6 and one with two star age 7, they both have massive smiles on their faces. A big thank you to you all.”

Mrs. C, Oxon – Vaujany, Les Balcons de Vaujany, 4th March 2006

“Thank you! We have recently returned from a weeks fantastic skiing in Vaujany and we loved every minute of it. The brochure you produced, the contact with the office and the pre-department information were really informative and helpful. The resort, the ski school teaching and the excellent accommodation we had all combined to make it a very memorable experience for us and our children, who had never skied before. The great weather and good snow helped too!”

Mr. H, Kent – Vaujany, La Cascade, 11th February 2006

“The accommodation was excellent, simple but decent condition and small details like a lemon squeezer and manual soup grinder. The snow was a bit scant for the first three days but the weather was great and it’s great for technique to struggle on ice for a while. The pisteurs even looked worried by Tuesday but then we had a dump, the sun quit and the snowboarders stayed in the bar which was just magic for the rest of us. We had a fab time, I would do it again sometime. Kids classes were great and suitably fierce to ensure them as tried to get above themselves were restrained to the relevant level which I applaud. Ski 2000 were courteous and OK. I think they had to try 6 pairs of boots on me before we found something comfortable. So they get the patience award. The pool etc is a great facility and it is good that you highlight that in the resort.”

Ms. P, London – Vaujany, Dome des Rousses, 11th February 2006

“I have just returned from a very pleasant holiday in Vaujany. The standard of accommodation was very comfortable and I would certainly consider returning. Thank you very much.”

Mrs. M, Coleford – Vaujany, Le Balcons, March 2005

“I am writing to thank you for a faultless holiday which was extremely good value for money. We had the most enjoyable week in the Odalys apartment, which had stunning views and was extremely well equipped. Everything was beautifully organized. Had Peak Retreats been responsible for the weather I’m sure it would have been a lot colder. Despite sun everyday and temperatures up to 20 degrees C the snow lasted out for us…I plan to return for a short break in the summer….We would very much like to book our next years skiing with Peak Retreats, maybe a week or two in different resorts. It offered us freedom which you don’t get in Chalets, how ever good they are.”

Mrs B. Northamptonshire – Vaujany, le Dôme des Rousses, March 2005

“You may remember our disappointment back in spring last year at missing out on La Norma again for this winter and your suggestion that we choose Vaujany as we would enjoy it. I didn’t think it would be possible but we had an even better time this year. The scenery was stunning, the apartment was bigger and better and the range of skiing allowed the children to progress fantastically. Yet again the arrangement by Peak Retreats was faultless. Thanks to all”

Mr M. Derby – Vaujany, Les Balcons, February 2005

“We have recently returned from a very enjoyable holiday in Vaujany. As described in your brochure the apartment was very comfortable and warm ideally located to the main Gondola. The weather was very kind to us. We are looking to book again for next half term and have chosen the resort of Morillon”

Mr S. Birmingham – Vaujany, Les Balcons, February 2005

“Thanks for everybody’s assistance – I was impressed by the help offered in finding a suitable resort and the ease at organising everything via e-mail/telephone. The apartment was good and very convenient, perfect for the early morning bread run at the patisserie opposite! Vaujany itself was a perfect retreat.”

Mr. P, Norwich – Vaujany, Le Dome des Rousses, February 2005

“We had a great holiday in la cascade, good apartment with excellent access to lifts etc.”

Mr. B, Alresford - Vaujany, La Cascade, 2nd January 2005

Les Deux Alpes

“We have just returned from our holiday at the Cote Brune Hotel in Les 2 Alpes and thought I would let you know what a fabulous time we had. The hotel was so perfectly positioned; we were the envy of others. 2 minutes walk in boots from the 2 main gondolas. Such a priority when you have young children. Ski hire and lift pass was easy. The European Ski School was the best I have ever come across. 100% English speaking and both of my children had great fun. Thank you to Peak Retreats for making this such an enjoyable time.

Mrs K, Harrogate – Les Deux Alpes, Hotel Cote Brune, 17th February 2006

“We had another fantastic week in Les Deux Alpes this half term. Thank you again for all your help”

Mrs. C, Kent – Les Deux Alpes, Alpina Lodge, 11th February 2006

Mrs M, Pontypridd – Les Deux Alpes, Le Flocon d’Or

“We had a very good time so thanks for helping us through our wavering choices! The Chalet was excellent and nicely placed. The parking was good and the snow was very good. The Novotel was very good and we had a great time there. Overall we had a great time and are looking forward to going again.”
