Le Birdie
Le Birdie is a new residence located in the
small medieval village of Giez, a listed
historic village with a 12th century
castle. It is 25km South of Annecy and only 5km
from the lake, its beaches and activities.
In the heart of the international 27 hole Golf
course of Giez (one of the most famous in the
region – see
www.golfdegiez.com), Le Birdie offers a
stunning scenery over Lake Annecy and the
surrounding mountains. A cycling path to the
lake passes by the residence and there are
numerous country lanes around too to explore
the pretty region by foot, bike or car.
The residence is equipped with all modern
amenities and boasts indoor and outdoor
swimming-pools (open mid-June to
mid-September depending on weather conditions),
sauna and Jacuzzi, bread delivery service, a
large reception area, tennis court (payable
€10/hour), boules pitch and private
outdoor parking.
The high standard apartmentshave: living area
with double sofa bed and TV, fully equipped
kitchenette with electric hob, fridge,
combination oven, dishwasher, kettle and
coffee-maker, bath or shower room, separate WC
(for most apartments) and a furnished terrace,
balcony or garden area (except for some
studios) overlooking the golf course, the
village or the countryside.

Giez offers two courses: The Belvedere,
an 18 hole course that offers a magnificent
view of Mont Blanc and Les Castors a 9 hole
specially designed for beginners with a large
covered practice range, putting green, practice
bunkersand an area for approach shot
practice.Open competitions are held every
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday on both courses.
The 200 year old converted tool work shop is
perfectly situated and offers great views from
its terrace of play on five holes. Both courses
are built with a mixture of tree lined fairways
and water hazards to make this course a
technical picturesque challenge. Holes 4-9 are
situated on a plateau that offers fantastic
views of Lac Annecy and Mont Blanc and is
accessible by virtue of a courtesy mini bus.
